Why take the exam?
CNOR credentialing represents a level of professional achievement and a demonstrated knowledge of
clinical competence and practice standards. Becoming
certified as a CNOR makes you a leader as well as a role
model in the healthcare community at large and a steward
for the operating room professional community. Your credentials reflect a deep personal commitment and sense of
accomplishment.
Course Description
This two-day review provides an overview of the key elements of Operating Room Nursing. Included will be elements of preoperative , intraoperative, and post operative
nursing all included on the test. Topics will include
assessment of the pre-op patient, sterilization,
pharmacology, and concepts in pediatric OR nursing. Test
taking strategies will be discussed. At the completion of
this workshop, the participant should be able to:

Recognize and expand knowledge of operating room
nursing to prepare for certification.

Develop a strategy for test preparation based on the
CNOR blueprint.

Learn test taking strategies to conquer the CNOR
certification exam.

IU Health Indianapolis (OH-412, 6/1/2013) is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the
Ohio Nurses Association (OBN-001-91), an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s
Commission on Accreditation. Attendance for the entire
education offering and submission of an evaluation are
required to obtain contact hours.
