Dear Friends of St. Paul School,
Welcome to the 7th Annual St. Paul School Dinner Auction. We are so happy that you are joining us
tonight in celebration of the Faith, Knowledge and Heart of our school. We cannot begin to list all
of the people who have made tonight a reality. Sandy Stark and Tina Huck, the chairpersons for
the 2015 dinner auction, have been planning, brainstorming and working for well over a year to
transform their vision into what you see here. Their attention to the smallest detail is amazing.
Along with their assistant chairpersons and many committee members, they have created an
evening which promises to be great fun!
Of course, none of these details or decorations would be necessary without the numerous items
that were donated by the area businesses, parents, parishioners and many others. Thank you to
all of these donors for their continued support and generosity.
For 160 years our parish has served the youth of our church and the Highland community, proudly
providing each child an outstanding education. Thousands of students have passed through the
doors, well-educated and formed in the faith. Many of you here tonight are St. Paul graduates.
Whether you are a parent, a former St. Paul student, a staff member, a parishioner or simply a
friend of St. Paul School, we hope you agree that ‘There’s No Place Like St. Paul.’
Father Chuck Edwards
Pastor of St. Paul Catholic Church
Dear Parents and Friends of St. Paul Catholic School,
On behalf of the staff of St. Paul Catholic School, welcome to the Annual St. Paul Dinner Auction.
Since the first Dinner Auction in 2009, your generosity has spurred many positive changes at
St. Paul. We have upgraded technology, built a playground, provided musical instruments, and
provided instructional tools and techniques for teachers to enhance the curriculum at St. Paul.
Many of those improvements would not have been possible without the generosity of the people
who support St. Paul. This year’s Fund a Need project will focus on refurbishing the science room
with new equipment and furnishings. New science workstation tables, cabinets and sinks along
with additional equipment will provide the students with enhanced experiences in the area of
science.
Thank you for coming and please enjoy the evening.

Dear Friends & Supporters of St. Paul Catholic School,
On behalf of our entire core team, we would like to welcome you and thank you for your continued
support of our children’s school!
When it came time for us to pick our auction theme, we knew we wanted our focus to be the school
and all that it gives our children. Faith and knowledge are pretty obvious. We all know the great, faithbased, high-learning-standard education that St. Paul offers. However, it offers so much more, and at
the center of that is the heart. St. Paul Catholic School is a community like no other. With caring
administrators, teachers and staff, we know that each day our children are in good hands. There is so
much more to that community though. The heart of our school stems from the heart of our parish and
our school supporters…those of you here tonight and those who cannot be with us. We extend our
gratitude to you for showing our students that it doesn’t take finding a rainbow to make your dreams
come true. They need not look any further than their “own backyard” right here at St. Paul.
Truly, the heart of our community is also seen as you look around tonight. Yes, we put in many hours
to make this vision come to life, but this would not have been remotely possible without the
dedication of so many people! We have had a fabulous circle of support within our core team of
committee chairs, assistant chairs and especially our school’s development director, Mary Thole. Mary
brings so much talent, wisdom and dedication to the auction and the school. We are grateful for her
leadership and friendship! Along with the core team, MANY volunteers spent numerous hours working
to make everything just perfect. Thank you to each of you who helped in any way!
Finally, we must thank our husbands, Gene & Rob, Mary’s husband, Denis (better known as Mr. Dinner
Auction) and our closest friends, Becky Harszy & Jennie McMullen, who spent countless hours behind
the scenes supporting us on this journey. Closest to our hearts, we thank our children, Robert (Class of
2012), Ellie (Class of 2016), Sam (Class of 2019) and Kayden (Class of 2028) who dealt with our crazy
schedules for the past two years. They and all their classmates and friends are the reason we followed
this yellow brick road.
Again, thank you for your support of our school! We hope you enjoy your evening in the Land of Oz!
Tina Ferrario Huck & Sandy Stark

Silent Auctions
The silent auction has been separated into three sections:
Silent Auction A - Witch’s Castle is located in the bar area.
Silent Auction B - Munchkinland is to the left of the stage
Silent Auction C - Poppy Field is to the right of the stage.
Each section will be closing at different times. There will be an announcement prior to
the close of each silent auction section.
With each silent auction item, you will find a bid sheet. Bidders are required to fill in
their bidder number by the preprinted bid amount. Please note that preprinted amounts
reflect the minimum increases. All bid increases must be those printed on the bid
sheets. Any other bid amounts will be disqualified.
BUY IT NOW
At the bottom of each bidder sheet is a “buy it now” price. If you want to guarantee that
you will win the item, you may choose to bid that amount. If you do so, write your
bidder number on the sheet, and immediately take the sheet to one of the volunteers in
that area.
About 15-30 minutes following the closing of each silent auction section, an
announcement will be made that the high bidders have been posted on a chart at the
entrance of each silent auction section. At that time, bidders may check the chart to see
if they have won the high bid of any of the auctioned items. If so, they should see an
auction assistant to claim their prize. Winning bidders must sign the bid sheet to verify
that they have picked up their item and that they agree to the stated price. Once the
item has been signed for, the winning bidder may claim the prize. It is the bidder’s
responsibility to safeguard the item and pay for it at the bank prior to leaving for the
evening. Successful bidders who have signed up for Express Pay do not need to see
the banker. Their credit card will be charged and a receipt mailed to them.

BIDBID-O-GRAM
Bid-O-Gram is the spot to find some of the most coveted items of the night!
There will be four rounds of Bid-O-Grams with ten items up for grabs on
each.
On your table, you will find bidding sheets for each round. After the
starting announcement by the Wizard (aka the emcee) until the final
call for bids for that round, you may bid as many times as you wish on
the items within that round by completing a bid sheet.
Once completed, hold it high in the air, and one of the flying monkeys
will sweep in to take it away and deliver your bid to one of the official
bid trackers located on the stage. The highest bid and bidder number
will be displayed on the large screens on the stage and the small tv
screens around Oz.
If two bidders bid the same amount, the bid first received by the official
bid trackers will be tracked.

Fifth Grade Wooden Tile Art Featuring Birds
I spy birds that fly, blue, green, and even a red one or two. Each student in fifth grade designed
and painted a bird on a wooden block. When the flock was arranged it created a beautiful piece
of framed artwork. Measurements are approximately 13” x 25”.
