About the conference
Stress affects the mind, body and behavior in many ways. People react in a different way to stress which leads to wide range of problems causing damage to health,
productivity, quality of life and inter-personal relationships. Studies clearly indicate that stress is becoming a major health concern worldwide and its consequences are
enormous. This conference aims at pooling knowledge and novel ideas and will offer a forum for eminent scientists, research scholars, teachers as well as students
working on stress related biology to deliberate and share their experiences and research findings. A rational therapeutic approach should normalize psychological and
pathological alterations associated with stress and its related diseases.
About the college
Maharani’s Science College for Women, Bangalore , was established in the year 1938 by Sri. Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar in memory of his mother. The college has
grown in strength and stature in the last 75 years and is now one of the premier Government Colleges in Karnataka providing science education to women from all
sections of society. The college offers 13 undergraduate and 5 post graduate courses in science. Department of Zoology is one of the oldest in the college and well
sought after by the students. Research culture in the college is robust with several funded research projects and publications.
