WONDROUS LOVE
CONFESSION
Eternal God, we confess that even though You have given us a message
of hope and redemption for the world, our proclamation of it has been
muffled. For the sake of our own comfort, we look to professionals to
preach it. In the name of tolerance, we have watered it down. For fear
of looking foolish, we have remained silent. Lord, forgive us and heal
of us our selfishness, our shame, our fear. Give us a bold heart and a
love for You and Your truth. Let the joy You create in us motivate us to
manifest it to our neighbor. In the power of Christ's name we pray.
Amen.

*OLD TESTAMENT (OT P.537-538)
Blessed are You, O God, and blessed is Jesus Christ, Your only Son,
whom You sent out of love for the world to be our Savior. By the
Holy Spirit’s power, He was born of us, shared our joys and sorrows,
and offered His life in perfect obedience and trust. By His death, Christ
delivered us from our sins. By His resurrection, He grants us new and
abundant life. By His love, He sanctifies the church to be His holy bride
and now, prepares the wedding banquet.
Dying, You destroyed death. Rising, You restored life. Lord Jesus, come
in glory. When we eat this bread and drink this cup, we proclaim Your
death. Lord Jesus, come in glory.
Together we pray…
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom
come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day
our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors,
and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for Thine is
the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
