Why Four Gospels?
Dr. Bob Adams will be the Bible teacher for this series. Dr. Adams is the current company
chaplain of Pharr Yarns. He will bring a rich and varied background to our study. Dr. Adams has
been a missionary in South America and a seminary professor in Columbia. He was also a
professor at Southwestern Seminary and Gardner-Webb University.
Dr. Adams will be exploring the different perspectives that each Gospel writer brings to the life
and ministry of Jesus. Dr. Adams would like for each person to read their favorite gospel
through and come up with some questions.
See you on Wednesday at 6:15pm in the Hudson Building.
Coffee and cake will be served.
NOW is a great time
to join the Choir!
If you are a church member

The Missions Team would like to encourage you to clean out your closets for missions! In the next few weeks, we ask
you to bring in your gently-used items for donation to the five local Christ-centered organizations listed below that need
our help to carry out God's work.
The Shelter of Gaston County—The Mission of The Shelter of Gaston County is to empower victims of domestic violence by
providing emergency shelter, advocacy, and support on their journey to an abuse free life; and to lead the community in raising
awareness of domestic violence and its devastating consequences.
The Salvation Army—The Salvation Army in Gaston County works with Boys and Girls Clubs and community centers, and
provides shelter for families in need of transitional housing, they hold weekly worship services, and provide safe and affordable
housing to seniors.
Catherine’s House—Catherine's House is a transitional housing facility and program for women and children who would
otherwise be homeless. They serve those facing homelessness due to different circumstances such as: domestic violence,
unemployment, unexpected tragedies, and lack of support network.
Cornerstone Christian—Cornerstone Christian Center is a men’s home dedicated to sharing the good news of living a life
centered on Jesus Christ. They believe in substance abuse recovery through active participation in the resident’s spiritual
growth, daily attendance of AA/NA twelve step meetings and progressive improvement of life skills in a residential setting.
Greater Gaston Baptist Association—The GGBA works together as an association of Baptist Churches to bring people to a life
-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.” The Community Ministries of GGBA gives food, clothing, household items and
utility assistance Monday-Thursday.

When was the last time you had to make a tough call?
The truth is, we make judgment calls all day long,
from what we watch on TV or who we hang out with
to more complicated decisions like whether to attend
a party or stick with a tough friendship. The problem
is, our natural tendency to judge leaks into places it
shouldn’t—like our relationships. Unfortunately,
most of the time, we make decisions about people
without all the facts. We don’t know someone’s
whole story, their whole situation, or their whole
potential. We miss the big picture. Maybe that’s why,
in the Bible, God makes it super clear:
Judgment is His call. Not ours.

FEBRUARY CHILDREN’S WORSHIP
When you look at the life of Jesus, He demonstrated
kindness all the time. But He not only showed kindness
to others, He actually flipped the whole idea of kindness
on its head and redefined it for not only
His disciples, but all of us.
“Do to others as you want them do to you. Luke 6:31”
