dwellings, some of the best preserved
in North America. Next, we stop in
Sedona, known for its rich Native
American history and “New Age” culture.
There will be time to explore before
we continue to Grand Canyon National

stretches 277 miles long. Its multi-hued
walls tell an epic geologic story,
sculpted over millennia by the shifting

floor. The park’s courtesy shuttle offers
stops at lookout points along the south
rim. If an active day is preferred, bike
rentals and trail maps are available.
Educational options include tours of
historic park buildings and talks with
knowledgeable rangers. Our experienced Tour Director will be available

vistas of the lake. This afternoon, embark
on a narrated boat cruise through Lake

past towering Navajo Sandstone formations. We’ll also pass Glen Canyon
Dam, the second largest concrete

of this dam along the Colorado River
that created Lake Powell. B,L

The Masterpieces
of Mother Nature
Zion National Park
Zion National Park is Utah’s first National Park, designated
as such in 1919. It is also the state’s most visited with nearly
three million people experiencing the park’s natural wonders.
Carved by the Virgin River over millions of years, Zion has
steep cliff faces and fascinating rock formations
created by the erosion of wind, water, and time.
Bryce Canyon National Park
Rimmed by pine and aspen forests, Utah’s Bryce Canyon
National Park is a marvelous viewing experience. The
park is a geological forest of colorful pinnacles, spires,
fins, arches, mazes and formations called hoodoos.
The incredible limestone formations range in color
from red to yellow to lavender.
Grand Canyon National Park
The Grand Canyon is one of the most impressive natural
wonders in America; your first glimpse is sure to be a
special memory. This incredible chasm is 277 miles long!
That’s about the same distance between Chicago and
St. Louis! The coloration of the Grand Canyon changes
constantly due to sunlight and clouds--ranging from
bright red to deep purple.
