This is our 3 Annual Oak Park Art Fair
This year it’s an outdoor event in the SW
corner of Shepherd Park, near Hamilton Hill



Be prepared for all types of weather
Keep a copy of your application & guidelines
Remember, Michigan sales tax must be
collected and remitted to the state
Artist accepts the rules listed here, as well as
additional rules of the event


ELIGIBILITY



Work must be original and crafted by the
artist. We will not accept vendors of massproduced items
Work must be in the medium and styles
accepted by the jury
Young artists between the ages of 14-17 will
be allowed with a guardian signature and an
adult must be present in the booth during all
art fair hours
TIMELINE
January 2015 - Applications available
June 11 –Application deadline with fee
June 22 –Final acceptance letters will be mailed
July 3 – Printed marketing materials available for
distribution. Promotion at the Oak Park
Independence Day Parade and Fun Day
July 8 – Booth payments due
--also tent rental fee due at this time
August 8-9 Oak Park Summer Fest noon-6pm
Saturday, August 8- Set up from 10am-12 noon
Sunday August 9- Tear Down 6-8 pm
August 17 –City Council Presentation at the Oak

Applicants must email 3-6 images of artwork
to be sold at the Oak Park Art Fair and one
image of your booth presentation to
OPAACC@ci.oak-park.mi.us
Accepted artists may have their artwork
presented in the printed marketing materials

I will need to rent a tent with secure sides that will be set up for me

I understand and agree to all rules of the show, and certify the accuracy of the forgoing
statements. A signed contract is a commitment to attend and participate in the show.

No refunds of application fee.
Application fee will be waived for artists who
were juried at the 2013 or 2014 Art Fairs

Booth fee of $80 is due July 8

Double booth fee of $140 is due by July 8
10x10 tent with sides to secure artwork is
available for rent through the OPSF for the
price of $170 (one tent). The tent will be set up
and torn down for you.

Cancellations by July 31 2015 will receive a
refund of booth fee.
10x10 tent should have sides and be tied down
At least one of the artists listed on your
applications must be present during the event
Young artists between the ages of 14-17 must
have a parent or guardian present during all
event hours which are 12-6 pm August 8-9

No sharing of booths unless both/all artists are
represented on single application, included in
images and accepted to the OPSF art Fair

LIABILITY



No insurance is provided to cover damage or
theft to art work, display, or persons
Your application indicates that you authorize
OPAACC to use your images for promotional
purposes
I agree to hold harmless and indemnify the Oak
Park MI Summer Fest, OPAACC – Oak Park Arts
& Cultural Commission, the City of Oak Park,
their agents and employees for damage or
from any cause
