Showing the DVD “Japan’s War”

Never before seen footage, “Japan’s War” recounts the
history of World War II from a Japanese perspective. It
combines original colour film with letters and diaries written by Japanese people. It tells the story of a nation at war
from the diverse perspectives of those who lived through
it: the leaders and the ordinary people, the oppressors and
the victims, the guilty and the innocent.
Illinois Holocaust Museum

Join us for an educational tour of the Illinois Holocaust
Museum in Skokie, IL. The mission of the Illinois Holocaust Museum is best expressed in their founding principle: Remember the Past, Transform the Future. The Museum is dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Holocaust by honoring the memories of those who were lost
and by teaching lessons that combat hatred, prejudice and
indifference. The museum is handicap accessible and has
benches along the way for reflection. We will eat lunch at
Johnny Rockets, which features classic Americana, prior
to the tour. Our return will be approximately by 5:00 p.m.
Cost is $10, please bring money for lunch. Sign up and
