PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Dear Members
Kristan Conlon
Welcome back and a very Happy New Year from Committee members and staff.
You will find with this first newsletter issue of 2015 an event planner for the year with
some terrific and unique events to celebrate this special year.
One very special date is Saturday 13th June. This is in honour of the Clubs official 25th
birthday falling in June and we want to celebrate this landmark milestone with you in
style at a black tie ball event.
Amongst the varied calendar are a couple of VIP wine events, Torbrek on Friday 20th
March and Penfolds on Friday 31st July, not to be missed. February’s signature event is Valentine’s Day which
falls on a Saturday this year and so we will be trialling opening the Club and trust your support will ensure
this is viable. Guests are very welcome to come along to these events and Andrea or Natasha will be happy to
answer any questions you have on upcoming opportunities to “show off” your Club.

How long have you been a Member: 3 years
About company: TALIO is an integrated facilities management solutions company. It’s sounds very complicated but it isn’t.
We simply solve your problems no matter the property, the situation or the person. Just ask and we can fix it and handle it.
Hobbies: If you want to hear lines out of cinematic classics like Anchorman, Dumb and Dumber, The Simpsons, just hang around
me for a while and then we can talk about College Football and the NFL.
Favourite Drink: The classic Old Fashioned with Tom Collins a close second.
Favourite Club Meal: The Club sandwich. Hands down best I’ve ever had.
Secret skill: Really, really bad jokes and puns. You’ll pull a muscle rolling your eyes at my best jokes, like this one, Toast, eggs,
bacon and coffee walk into a bar and the barman says, ‘We don’t serve breakfast here!’
Why do I enjoy the club? The club has provided me the immense opportunity to meet so many fantastic people and start some
really cool events like the Members for Members lunches and the new Polo Club Business Group. Plus it will always represent
the beginning of my own business not so long ago and it can easily be that for so many members.
A Polo Club tip for new members? Don’t be anonymous. There so many members whether they be young or old who want to
meet you and have you involved. Speak your mind, share ideas and be yourself. You will only get out what you put into it.
