SNOW?
Please be advised that you will no longer be called on Sundays when cancellations
or postponement of worship will take place. Please either check our website at
www.standrewsmoncton.net or call the church at 389-7707 to hear the recorded
message. Seldom is it necessary to cancel or postpone due to weather, but it does
happen occasionally.
Please make safe, responsible decisions.
Baby Shower - February 8th.
Having moved westward, for employment purposes, we have not had the opportunity to
celebrate with Marilyn (the daughter of Bill & Roselyne Ross) & Jason Jackett, and meet
their new daughter Joanna. They will be visiting with us on Sunday, February 8th, so we
plan to greet them during coffee & conversation following worship, offering our
congratulations & perhaps some gifts for Joanna. You are encouraged to join in this time
of celebration, remembering they are traveling by plane, so gifts should be of the light
variety. May we suggest monetary, or maybe you could purchase a gift card through our
Fundscrip program?

Sermon Series: The E-100 Challenge
Sermon: Is Forgiveness Possible? For Me? Is. 52:13-53:6, Jn.20:10-16
Introduction:
• Directions, whether geographically or spiritually have never been easier
to access. Trouble is, people don’t want directions, don’t want God.
1) Our Wandering Ways (Isaiah 53:6)
• Like sheep people have always wandered. We might even be worse
than the ancients, as we have seen the work of Christ and His
resurrection.
• Evidence of wandering hearts abound.
2) Necessity Of A Suffering Messiah (Isaiah 53:5a)
• Sin requires redemption – the price must be paid as God is just.
• Only God can pay the price, and did so with His Son.
• Jesus was determined in His mission.
3) The Way To Peace (Isaiah 53:5b)
• While very different we all have one thing in common (Romans 3:23).
• Some consider themselves beyond forgiveness.
• Some seek cheap grace, grace without repentance or change and are
inoculated against the real thing.
• Other get it. They have repented; received Jesus as Saviour and Lord
and experienced transformation. (Ephesians 2:8).
• The way of peace is a life-long journey with Jesus.
Conclusion:
• Where are you? Wandering? Thinking you are beyond forgiveness?
Looking for cheap grace? A committed disciple?
• We all benefit with reading directions – from a ‘Different Book.’ In it we
encounter God.
…So the Word can get into you!
