The latest newsletter from David and Margie Whitehorn our WEC Missionaries is on the table at the back of church. They ask for specific prayer for: • For God's love and power to bring transformation in the north of Senegal. • Getting ready for the Workshop - preparing ourselves, reading and some preparation for one session of teaching we have been asked to do. • That we would receive the letter of invitation, soon, from DR Congo which we need in order to apply for visas • Ruth and Mark’s, move to Manchester to serve at the relatively new Betel centre in the city. We are so pleased that we are in the UK and can help them a little in this move! • Esther looking for a job. Women’s World Day of Prayer is on Friday 6th March at 10:30 am at the Salvation Army Hall, Taunton. The theme of the service is taken from St John’s Gospel, chapter 13 verses 1-17, ‘Jesus said to them: “Do you know what I have done for you?”’ and it challenges us to demonstrate the same radical, unconditional love for others that Jesus showed when he washed the feet of his disciples. Everyone is very welcome to attend the service, men, women – people of all ages. Today Please pray for: Tim, our Vicar who in addition to visiting and service preparation, has the following commitments: Monday(9th) House of St Martin; PCC Meeting House of St Martin; Wardens’ Meeting Early morning prayer with B1 leaders; St James School Worship; Xplore Club; Alpha Church Weekend Away Tuesday Wednesday Friday-Sunday Collections We do not take up a collection during the service. If you would like to make a contribution towards the Lord’s work, there is an offering plate on the table at the back of the church. Gift Aid envelopes are available if you are a UK tax payer. If you attend regularly, please consider setting up a Standing Order. Contact the Planned Giving Officer, Richard Taylor, for details. The Peace During Communion Services we share The Peace with each other. Simply turn to those around you, shake hands and say something like “Peace be with you”. You may then find that some people will move around the church to share The Peace more widely. Prayer Ministry We offer a personal ministry of prayer every week after the main morning service. If you wish to bring anything to God in prayer, and in private, please go to the side chapel at the end of the service where someone will be available to pray with you. Also as you return from the Communion rail, someone will be ready to pray a brief prayer with you if you wish. General Notices Church Weekend Away For Lee Abbey transport arrangements and directions please see Jenny Wakefield. Lost! We have lost one of the urn/servery keys. Please could you rummage through your pockets or handbags to see if you have inadvertently taken it home with you. Many thanks.
