Prayer Needs
This Week
In your prayers, please remember our Vicar, readers and church
officers. Please pray for Helen Doyle and any others known to us,
who are in hospital, unwell at home, or who particularly need our
prayers at this time.
Friday 13th -Sunday 15th February Church Weekend Away
at Lee Abbey.
Please also remember Mike Gillingham who is supporting the
ministry at St Peter’s, Lyngford, and our Readers and church
members who from time to time lead services in other places.
The latest newsletter from David and Margie Whitehorn our WEC
Missionaries is on the table at the back of church. They ask for
specific prayer for:
• For God's love and power to bring transformation in the north
of Senegal.
• Getting ready for the Workshop - preparing ourselves,
reading and some preparation for one session of teaching we
have been asked to do.
• That we would receive the letter of invitation, soon, from DR
Congo which we need in order to apply for visas
• Ruth and Mark’s, move to Manchester to serve at the
relatively new Betel centre in the city. We are so pleased that
we are in the UK and can help them a little in this move!
• Esther looking for a job.

Looking Ahead
Saturday February 28th - MEN4U at St Michael's Church,
Galmington. Men will hear an amazing interview with
Archbishop Justin Welby on Screen. 9:45am coffee, 10am start,
finish by 11am.
Women’s World Day of Prayer is on Friday 6th March at
10:30 am at the Salvation Army Hall, Taunton. The theme of
the service is taken from St John’s Gospel, chapter 13 verses
1-17, ‘Jesus said to them: “Do you know what I have done for
you?”’ and it challenges us to demonstrate the same radical,
unconditional love for others that Jesus showed when he
washed the feet of his disciples.
Everyone is very welcome to attend the service, men, women –
people of all ages.
Today
Please pray for:
Tim, our Vicar
who in addition to visiting and service
preparation, has the following commitments:
Monday(9th)
House of St Martin;
PCC Meeting
House of St Martin;
Wardens’ Meeting

Collections
We do not take up a collection during the service. If you would like to
make a contribution towards the Lord’s work, there is an offering plate
on the table at the back of the church. Gift Aid envelopes are available
if you are a UK tax payer.
If you attend regularly, please consider setting up a Standing Order.
Contact the Planned Giving Officer, Richard Taylor, for details.
The Peace
During Communion Services we share The Peace with each other.
Simply turn to those around you, shake hands and say something like
“Peace be with you”. You may then find that some people will move
around the church to share The Peace more widely.
Prayer Ministry
We offer a personal ministry of prayer every week after the main
morning service. If you wish to bring anything to God in prayer, and in
private, please go to the side chapel at the end of the service where
someone will be available to pray with you.
Also as you return from the Communion rail, someone will be ready to
pray a brief prayer with you if you wish.
