2015 Football Season
Welcome to the 2015 football season. The committee of Narrabeen Football Club hope you had an enjoyable and safe
Christmas and New Year break. For our returning players we look forward to the continuation of the Narrabeen spirit and the
involvement of family and friends as fellow players, coaches, managers, volunteers and supporters.
th
With the important milestone of the Clubs 50 year there will be for this coming year only, a modern version of the clubs original
1965 playing kit to be worn as in the picture below and with celebrations to be organised for Sunday 3rd May at the fields and in
the Ted Blackwood Hall.
With positive growth in numbers at the club in 2014 from 777 members to 908 there is the possibility of breaking 1000 in 2015
with the Warriewood area continuing to develop.
We need more volunteers to help the 2015 season run smoothly. Our club is run by volunteers and as we all know many hands
make light work. The club actively needs assistance by players or their families to keep the club working well into the
future. We are seeking the following for the 2015 season; Treasurer, Newsletter Editor and Junior Equipment Co-ordinator. So
if you are able to help out, please get in touch with our club Secretary, Jake Downs. Bear in mind that filling a committee
position entitles that person – or a member of their family – to a free registration for the season.
If you are unable to take up a committee position, some activities such as registration and grading require one-off assistance
and extra hands are always welcome. For further information on any of the roles or if you can help out in some way please
contact Jake.
NFC is a club for all levels of ability and enthusiasm. From our Premier League teams, right down to Under 6s, we have the
facilities to field teams to cater for all requirements. We are a proud section of Narrabeen Youth Club.

Narrabeen FC has a new website at www.narrabeenfc.com.au Please check
here often for updates on what is happening within the Club and how our teams
are faring. Club Policies, important dates and upcoming events can also be found
here. The site also provides information and tips to parents, players, coaches and
managers, publishes news, photos and match reports

We will continue to enhance our coaches training, spending money on equipment and
facilities and establishing a player development program. To support these initiatives
we have policies and coordinators in place for safety and grading (please visit our
website to view all our policies). We have Registration and Grading policies so that
everyone is clear on their responsibilities and expectations.

All teams, regardless of grade, are required to have
two officials registered and issued with an MWFA
registration card, which must be worn to all games.
Typically this would be one Manager and Coach. For all U6
to U9 (Mini Roos/Sub Junior) teams this must be organised
before or on team announcement day. All senior teams will
require at least one manager or coach to be registered who
is NOT A PLAYER before the season commences.
The Club endeavours to keep our site up to date – please
check it frequently.
All managers and coaches for ALL GRADES are required
to register (no cost), provide a digital photo and sign Code
of Conduct and Working with Children forms, even if
returning from the previous season.
Photos of teams and players may be posted on the website
and in the Boondah News. Photographs may also be
supplied to the local press for Club promotion purposes. If
you do not want photographs published please advise the
Secretary.
