STUDENT / PARENT ANNOUNCEMENTS Wed., Jan. 28, 2015 (Waldron School) Lunch Menus are on the Waldron website: http://waldronschool.net/wpcontent/uploads/2014/12/JANUARYMENU.pdf Band/Music Booster Notice: The Fowler Band and Music Booster Association will be meeting Tuesday, February 3rd in the Waldron music room. Everyone who has a student in band or music K12 in invited and welcome! Light snacks will be provided. Parents of Children in MHT Choir The Children’s Choir has been requested to sing at a funeral on Friday morning at MHT. Students in choir must have parent permission to attend. All students who are excused by a parent may walk to the church at 9:55 a.m. and must sign back in the office upon return. Reminder: Report cards are scheduled to go home with students on Friday. 5th Gr. Parents The 5th grade class at Waldron Elementary will hold a DARE graduation celebration on Monday on February 9th at 1:20 p.m. in the Waldron cafeteria. Parents are welcome to attend. Cookies and punch will be provided after the ceremony. All Jar wars is here! This week the student council is holding Michigan/Michigan State jar wars, Monday through Thursday. Thursday will be the last day to place your coins in the jars located in Marcy’s office. Money will be counted Thursday and the winning teams fight song will be played on Friday! Dimes WILL subtract points! POSTPONED until further notice...middle school spirit week. PJ Day, Super Hero Day, ‘Merica Day, Farm & Animal Day, Black Out Day Fowler PTA Looking for Raffle Prize Donations The PTA is beginning to work on their annual Spring Carnival, which is set to take place on Saturday, March 14th. As part of the Carnival, the PTA holds a raffle including three BIG ticket items along with several smaller prizes donated from area merchants, Waldron staff, and local families. If you would like to make a donation of a raffle prize, it would be very much appreciated. Please call the Waldron office at 5932160 if you have an item you would like to donate. Feel free to drop donations off in the Waldron office or call and we can make arrangements for someone to pick it up. All donations are greatly appreciated. (PTA). If you have a child who will be five years of age on or before September 1, 2015, now is the time to register ONLINE for kindergarten at www.fowlerschools.net . PTA is hosting a family roller skating event, set for Sunday, February 8th , from 122 p.m. at Owosso Roller Haven. Cost is $7 per person and includes a pop, pizza slice and a popcorn. 1st 3rd Grade Basketball : FPS is planning on hosting 1st 3rd grade basketball again this year on the following Saturdays: 2/21, 2/28, 3/7, 3/21 and 3/28. More details and registration will be sent out at the end of January. (Mike Spicer) Daddy Daughter Dance (sponsored by Girl Scouts) will be March 7th from 6:308:00pm at the Waldron cafeteria for all interested preschool and school aged girls. Box Tops Once again this year we are collecting Box Tops for Education and TYSON labels (found on frozen Tyson food products). The box top logo can be found on many, many items...please save and send them to school! Every dime helps! Classroom teachers are holding a 3rd quarter contest...the winning classroom gets a pizza party! Lunch $ / Meal Magic The website www.sendmoneytoschool.com is up and running.
