POSTER COMPETITION DESIGN BRIEF

2015 ADELAIDE FRINGE POSTER COMPETITION
Adelaide Fringe is calling on artists and graphic designers around Australia and beyond to submit designs for
the 2015 Poster Competition.
The theme for this year’s Poster Competition is ‘Experience Something New’. Audiences at next year’s
Fringe will be encouraged to discover unknown talent and go and experience something new and different.
We are looking for an original poster design that is surreal, illogical, absurd or an expression of absolute
nonsense.
The winning design will be incorporated into the official branding and marketing material for the 2015
Adelaide Fringe, exposing the lucky winner’s poster to an audience of over 1.9 million.
The winner will also receive a $2,000 cash prize and complimentary registration for the 2015 Adelaide Fringe
if they would like to stage an exhibition of their work.
Design Brief
All design submissions must be made online at www.adelaidefringe.com.au.
The poster design must in some way interpret the theme of the 2015 Adelaide Fringe – Experience
Something New.
The design may be in any medium and in any art form such as digital, illustration, painting, sculpture or
photography, however the final entry must be two dimensional.
Please keep in mind that the final design will form the basis of the 2015 Adelaide Fringe marketing material
and must be suitable for reproduction. The winning poster design will be used across the city in various
forms from very large street posters and vinyl banners to very small logos and advertisements.
Entries must be received by 5pm, Friday 5 September and must be accompanied by an official Fringe
poster entry form that can be downloaded at www.adelaidefringe.com.au.

two-dimensional representation of these ideas.
