Month of November All Souls
In the tradition of the Catholic Church, the month of November is set aside
for the remembrance of All Souls. Each Mass during November will be
dedicated to every person listed on the all souls envelops for our parish and
the list will be placed at the altar. You may place your All Souls envelopes
bearing the names of your relatives and friends in the designated basket or
drop it off at the parish office. The names of those, whose death
anniversaries fall in the month of November will be announced specially.
Please make sure to write the date of their death anniversaries. Like in the
past we have a memorial altar for those who wish to bring a picture of their
love ones. Please make sure that it has your name and phone number in the
back. You may bring them at any time during the month of November.
Community Thanksgiving Service
Mark your calendars! Our Lady of Lourdes will host an ecumenical
community sing and prayer service. Come join us and our local Christian
churches. A collection for the Community Christian Assistance Program
will be taken. On Sunday November 20, 2016 at 6:30 p.m.at Our Lady of
Lourdes Church. Catholic Ladies Relief Society will provide refreshments
after service.
Thanksgiving Day Dinner
Once again, Our Lady of Lourdes Church is joining other local churches, to
provide a Community Thanksgiving Dinner. We were asked to help provide
desserts and our precious time volunteering to help serve. If you can help in
any way, please contact Robin Rauch at (530)458-4484 or at (530)6351060. This event will take place at the First Presbyterian Church at 4th and
Jay St. On Thanksgiving Day from 11:30 a.m. to 12: 30 p.m.

Baptisms
If you would like to schedule a baptism, you must first
complete our preparation program. This involves filling out an
application, turning in the required documents and fees, and
attending the preparation class. These steps and applications
are available on our website:

The next baptism class will be offered on Saturday,
December 3rd at 9:00 a.m.
 There will be NO class in November
Baptisms are performed on the second and fourth Saturdays of
each month. If you have any questions, please contact the

Weddings
Anyone wishing to be married in the church must
make arrangements at least six months in advance. If you have
questions, please contact the office 458-4170.
R.C.I.A.
The Rite of Christian Initiation for adults is for people 18years
and older who have not been baptized, or received first
Communion, or Confirmation. Maybe you are just interested in
learning more our faith and have questions. Maybe you have a
family member or friend interested in the faith or you want to
refresh yourself on the teachings of the faith. RCIA can assist
you. Classes are Wednesday from 7:00pm to 9:00pm taught by
Dr. Delgado and Fr. Matt in the parish center at 745 Ware
Avenue.

Eucharistic Adoration
We will have regular Eucharistic Adoration starting next
Wednesday November 16. Wednesdays from 8:00a.m. to 9:00a.m.
and Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the Chaple.
Family Liturgy
Next Sunday November 20th Our Lady of Lourdes School will be ministers
for the Family Liturgy at the 10:00 a.m. Mass. Please keep all students,
teachers, staff and families in your prayers.

Catholic Ladies Relief Society
The Marysville Deanery will meet on Thursday November 17 th at
St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Registration will be at 10:30 a. m.
and Mass at 11:00a.m. Father Roy Doner Chaplain will be the
Celebrant for the Mass. Lunch will follow, fee $5. A short
meeting will be held after lunch. All Catholic women invited.

by Monday November14th. The Church is located at 1330 Bird
Street in Oroville.
Golden Pheasant
There will be a meeting on Monday, November 28 at 6:00pm at
the OLL Church for the planning of this fundraiser for our church.
Everyone is invited to attend. We need all the help we can get to
make this event a success. Please consider volunteering.
Altar Server Training
Farther Matt will have an altar serving training for all those who
would like to be an altar server and for those current altar servers that
missed the last training. It is open to anyone who is in fourth grade or
older. Yes, adults are also welcome to be altar servers. The training
will take place on November 28 at 7:00 p.m. at the Church.
Job Openings
Our Lady of Lourdes Parish School - Colusa
1. Part time instructional aide for 5th/6th grade class. Be able to work
with 6th grade math students. Some college needed. Only Catholics who
are active in their faith should apply. Hours 10 am to 3 pm (Fridays 10
am to 12 pm) with a 45 minute lunch. $12.00 per hour.
2. Long term substitute teacher for 5th/6th grade class. Must have
completed college, have a teaching credential, or enrolled in a credential
program. Could develop into a permanent teaching position. Starts at
$17.00 an hour and increases to $20 an hour after working 20 consecutive
days. Only Catholics who are active in their faith should apply. Hours
7:45 am to 3:30 pm.

MONASTIC IMMERSION WEEKEN
Pray like a Monk: Monastic Prayer retreat
The monks of Our Lady of New Clairvaux Abby invite single Catholic
men ages 18-35 to immerse themselves in the ancient yet living monastic
tradition for the weekend of Dec. 16-18. A special theme of this year’s
Weekend is Monastic prayer. Participants will be able to join the monks
for Mass and Liturgy of the Hours in the Abbey Church and receive
conferences on Cistercian Spirituality & traditional monastic prayer forms
such as Lectio Divina, Contemplative Prayer and Cultivating Continual
Mindfulness of God. Rooms and meals are provided in the monastery
guesthouse. The Weekend is on us!

En la tradición de la Iglesia Católica, el mes de Noviembre está
reservado para recordar a todas las almas. Si usted gustaría que sus ser

Entrenamiento de Monaguillos
Va ver un entrenamiento para nuevos monaguillos y para los que no
