St. Ann Parish Advent Giving Tree
During Advent, as we prepare for the coming of Jesus, we are called to “walk in the light of the
Lord” (Isa 2:5). What better way to walk in the light of the Lord than by helping those in need
through our Advent Giving Tree? This gives us the opportunity to spread the joy of the Advent
season and to share Christ’s love to those who are in need.
Beginning with the weekend Masses on November 26th and 27th, you will have the opportunity
to select a colored tag from the Giving Tree, which is located in the Narthex. This year we will
be collecting gifts for…

HOPE of Northern Virginia is seeking gift cards from Target, Walmart, Carters and
Burlington Coat Factory to support mothers and their families who choose life. TAGS
FOR HOPE ARE RED MITTENS.

Catholic Charities Migration and Refugee Services is asking for gift cards from Target,
Walmart and the Dollar Store to support the resettlement of migrants and refugees in
the Northern Virginia area. TAGS FOR MIGRATION AND REFUGEE SERVICES ARE BLUE
SNOWMEN.

Borromeo Housing is seeking gift cards from Target, Giant Foods and Babies-R-Us to
help at-risk young single mothers purchase household items, clothes, food and baby
supplies. TAGS FOR BORROMEO HOUSING ARE YELLOW ANGELS.

The Reading Connection is asking for new books for children in homeless shelters and
transitional housing. TAGS FOR THE READING CONNECTION ARE GREEN CHRISTMAS
TREES.
Please take an ornament and fulfill the gift request (unwrapped) and return it to church no later
than December 18th. Please remember to attach the paper tag to ensure proper delivery of
your gift, and mark the gift cards with the dollar amount. On the weekend, gifts and gift cards
should be placed in the collection receptacles in the Narthex. During the week, please deliver
the gifts and gift cards to the parish office.
We appreciate the generosity of our parishioners over the years in supporting these worthy
causes. A big thanks also to the Junior Catholic Daughters for making all the ornaments and

Árbol de Regalos de Adviento de la Parroquia Santa Ana
Durante el Adviento, mientras nos preparamos para la venida de Jesús, somos llamados a “caminar a la
luz del señor” (Isa 2:5). ¿Qué mejor forma para caminar a la luz de señor que ayudando a los
necesitados, a través de nuestro árbol de regalos de Adviento? Esto nos brinda la oportunidad de
extender la alegría del tiempo de Adviento y compartir el amor de Cristo con aquellos que son
necesitados.
Comenzando con las misas del fin de semana del 26 y 27 de noviembre, ustedes tendrán la oportunidad

estableciendo en el área metropolitano de Virginia. LAS TARJETAS PARA SERVICIOS DE
MIGRACIÓN Y REFUGIADOS SERVICIOS SON MUÑECOS DE NIEVE AZUL.


ayudar a madres solteras y jóvenes en riesgo a compra artículos para el hogar, ropa,
alimentos y artículos para bebés. LAS TARJETAS PARA BORROMEO HOUSING SON ANGELES


The Reading Connection (La conexión de Lectura) está pidiendo nuevos libros para niños en
refugios de despamparados y hogares transitorios. LAS TARJETAS PARA LA CONEXIÓN DE
LECTURA SON MANZANAS AZULES.
Por favor tome un adorno y provea el regalo que pide (desenvuelto) y devuélvalo a la iglesia a no más
tarde del 18 de diciembre. Por favor recuerde incluir la tarjeta para asegurar que el regalo sea
entregado a donde corresponde. Durante los fines de semana los regalos se deben depositar en las
canastas designadas que encontrará en el nartex. Durante la semana traiga los regalos a la oficina
parroquial.
