PASTOR’S REFLECTION
Thirty Second Sunday in Ordinary Time
November 6, 2016
Dear Friends,
Like the Sadducees in the Gospel proclamation today,
often we preoccupy ourselves with nonsense, even
“theological and spiritual” falderal so that we do not
have to deal with the real issues of forgiveness, patience,
mercy and compassion in our lives. We pray that the
Lord may enlighten our discernment as we seek, each
day, to follow in the footsteps of His Son.
Take time to refresh the life of the Spirit that has been
given you. Then witness your faith like disciples and
believers throughout the ages. Be assured of my
prayers for you and for your dear ones. May the
good Lord bless you with wisdom and peace. Please
pray for me.
In Christ,
Msgr. Pablo A. Navarro
LOOKING FOR
WELCOMING PEOPLE
Do you have a few minutes to spare each Saturday
or Sunday? We are seeking volunteers to help with the
Welcome and Information Booth placed after every mass
outside the Loggia area. Volunteers would spend about
fifteen minutes after their Sunday Mass attendance
staffing the booth and answering questions from visitors
and would be parishioners, mostly directing them to who
can help them. This a great way to give back to your
parish and assist our Holy Church. For more information
or to sign on, please contact Juan Balloveras at
786-344-0143 or e-mail at [email protected]

of those who are poor and vulnerable. As you prepare to
vote this week, read the U.S. bishops' statement on

citizenship.
A SEASON OF PRAYER FOR AN ELECTION
We come together, asking God for courage and wisdom,
thanking God for love and joy. As we move toward the
election of new leaders for the United States, may we all
join in a season of prayer, committing to offer to God
our fears and frustrations, our hopes and dreams.
Pray for the nation: Almighty God, who has given us
this good land for our heritage: We humbly beseech thee
that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of
thy favor and glad to do thy will. Bless our land with
honorable industry, sound learning, and pure manners.
Save us from violence, discord and confusion; from
pride and arrogance and from every evil way. Defend
our liberties, and fashion into one united people the
multitudes brought hither out of many kindreds and
tongues. Endue with the spirit of wisdom those to whom
in thy Name we entrust the authority of government,
that there may be justice and peace at home,
and that, through obedience to thy law, we may show
forth thy praise among the nations of the earth. In the
time of prosperity, fill our hearts with thankfulness, and
in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in thee to fail;
all which we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

BE AN ANGEL TO THE
HOMELESS
Be an angel to the Homeless
Christmas can be made so much
better for a homeless person
through your generosity.
The Homeless Ministry will be collecting new
sweatpants, new underwear, new white cotton socks,
and new twin size blankets on Nov. 12 & 13 and 19 &
20. Our bins will be located outside of the church before
and after mass.
Through our efforts each homeless person will receive
brand new sweatpants, new underwear, new white
cotton socks, and a new blanket.
Please note **We do not need t-shirts or sweatshirts
because the Homeless Ministry will provide them with
a special t-shirt funded through the Pennies from
Heaven collection.**
Not sure what size to donate? No problem…. we need
size “large” the most. We also need your travel size
toiletries.
Thank you for your help. For more information, please
call Amanda La Gra at 305-936-6281or email us at

NOTICIAS DEL APOSTOLADO HISPANO
REFLEXIÓN DEL PÁRROCO
DOMINGO TRIGESIMO SEGUNDO EN EL
TIEMPO ORDINARIO
6 DE NOVIEMBRE DEL 2016
Queridos Amigos,
