Celeb: Indícame, Señor, tus caminos, enséñame tus sendas;
Todos: encamíname por tu fidelidad, enséñame, pues tú eres mi Dios salvador.
En ti espero todo el día por tu bondad, Señor.
Acuérdate, Señor, de que tu compasión y tu lealtad son eternas;
de mis pecados juveniles, de mis culpas, no te acuerdes; según tu lealtad, acuérdate de mí.
Bueno y recto es el Señor; por eso señala a los pecadores el camino;
encamina con el mandato a los humildes, enseña a los humil des su camino.
Las sendas del Señor son bondad y lealtad para los que observan la alianza y
sus preceptos.
Por tu Nombre, Señor, perdona mi delito por grande que sea.
¿Quién es ése que respeta al Señor? Le indicará el camino que ha de escoger:
la dicha será su morada y su descendencia poseerá la tierra.
El Señor se confía a sus fieles y con su alianza los instruye.
Mis ojos están fijos en el Señor, que él sacará mis pies de la red.
Vuélvete a mí y ten piedad, que estoy solo y afligido;
ensancha mi corazón apretado y sácame de mis congojas.
Atiende a mi aflicción y mi fatiga y perdona todos mis pecados;

esp Nuestros primeros compañeros,
procedentes de lugares tan diferentes
y a pesar de que se reconocían “débiles y frágiles”, encontraron juntos
la voluntad de Dios en medio de tan
gran diversidad de opinión. Su “decidida atención y vigilancia para iniciar
un camino totalmente abierto” y el ofrecerse plenamente a él para la mayor
gloria de Dios, les permitió encontrar
la voluntad de Dios. De este modo
comenzaron una historia; encendieron un fuego (...) A pesar de las diferencias, lo que nos une a los jesuitas
es Cristo y el deseo de servirle: no
hacernos sordos al llamamiento del
Señor, sino prontos y diligentes para
cumplir su santísima voluntad. Él es la
imagen única del Dios invisible, capaz
de revelarse en todas partes, y en una
exacerbada cultura de imágenes, Él es
la única imagen que nos une. Los jesuitas saben quiénes son mirándole a Él.

Despite the differences, what unites
us as Jesuits is Christ and the desire
to serve him: not to be deaf to the call
of the Lord, but prompt and ready to
do his most holy will. He is the unique
image of the unseen God, capable of
revealing himself everywhere; and in
a tantalizing culture of images, he is
the single image that unites us. Jesuits
know who they are by looking at him.
