Kat A: This was ok. Typical chick lit format, with the exception of dividing the story up like a
menu, appetizer, main course, dessert etc. I feel bad that I sort of read it and forgot about,
especially since the author died at such a young age which sets off that sub-conscious thing
when works become better posthumously. I really liked The Nanny, so I wanted to like this
more, but in reality, it's a light read, good for someone who either really likes chick lit as a genre,
or needs a really long book for a vacation.
Marta: I'm changing my rating to 2 stars because, honestly, it doesn't deserve more. Although
it's not really boring, its reading is completely unnecessary. It only gets slightly interesting at the
very end, when you have already guessed everything's that going to happen. I wasn't bored with
it but I'm sure I'll forget I ever read it in less than a week.... Unnecessary is the word that best
defines it in my opinion.
Lisa Lindman: A super witty and fun read! I don't know why I love romantic books so much.
They are so predictable (the "will they/ won't they?" back and forth) and I find myself yelling (in
my head of course) "Just tell her/him how you feel dammit!". But I don't care! I eat them up like
chocolate and keep asking for more. I really like Melissa Nathan's humor and ability to switch
viewpoints effortlessly. Highly recommend! :)
