I
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It is our pleasure to welcome you to the LVIII Scientific Meeting of the Argentine Society for
Clinical Investigation (SAIC) to be held jointly with the Annual Meeting of the Argentine Physiological Society (SAFIS) and the XLV Meeting of the Argentine Society of Experimental Pharmacology
(SAFE) in the city of Mar del Plata, Argentina, from 20th to 23rd November 2013. The Meeting has been designed to provide an innovative and comprehensive overview of the
latest research developments in Neurosciences, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Oncology, Cardiovascular, Endocrinology, Hematology, Reproduction, Regenerative Medicine, Genetics, Signal
Transduction and Pharmacology, among other disciplines. Highly distinguished international and
local speakers from different scientific areas will participate in conferences and symposia on cutting edge topics. One of the main goals of this year is to highlight Poster Sessions in order to
encourage a rich scientific interaction among all participants, so no other activities will occur at
the same time. The program will also feature diverse short courses on hot topics, meetings with
experts as well as a science policy workshop with local authorities of Science and Technology
and representatives of the main biomedical societies of Argentina. Your active participation in the Meeting through the presentation of your work on any of the
thematic topics reflects our wishes. Your submissions will be most welcome and your particular
contributions highly appreciated.
We hope that you will enjoy the Meeting and that your interaction with your colleagues around
the world will stimulate a creative exchange of ideas, contribute to find international partnerships
for future academic and scientific collaboration and be personally rewarding. We also hope and
trust that you will enjoy your visit to the very beautiful and exciting city of Mar del Plata, Argentina.
