Ez 2:2-5 ___________ 2 Cor 12:7-10
______ Mk 6:1-6a
(101
Jesus is met with misgivings and rejection by his own relations (3). Like them, we often
resist the prophetic word because of an obstinacy of heart (1), rooted in a self-pride (Ps)
which must give way to weakness and powerlessness (2).
Am 7:12-15 __________ Eph 1:3-14
______ Mk 6:7-13
(104)
The prophet hears what God proclaims (Ps) and is called to speak in Gods name (1). The
Twelve hear the message of Jesus and are sent forth to preach the good news (3). In him
have we been chosen to be full of love (2).

THANK YOU DIVINE MERCY
I want to take a moment to thank the priests, staff, and parishioners
of Divine Mercy for the one year ministry I exercised among you. I
am grateful to God for the opportunity to serve you. Divine Mercy
parish community is such a unique place gifted with wonderful diversity and talented people from across the world. I have enjoyed
working with these variegated groups in so many capacities and
have found my interactions very enriching. You have helped me to
sharpen my skills in group dynamics. As a growing community, I
pray that the Lord in his providence may continue to nourish you
through his Word and the Eucharist. May he also grant you the material resources to enable you to take care of your families and build
facilities to accommodate the surging population at this parish. I
thank you for your acts of kindness, love, gifts, and regards. Be
assured of my prayers. May I kindly ask that you keep me in your
prayers. God bless you all!

We must consider how to rouse one another to love and good works. We
should not stay away from our assembly,* as is the custom of some, but encourage one another, and this all the more as you see the day drawing near.

Anointing of the Sick
If you or a member of your family are in the hospital, and need
a priest URGENTLY, please contact the hospital’s Pastoral
Care Department or the Catholic Hospital Chaplain to call a
minister or priest. Otherwise call the Church office for one of
our priests to visit your loved one in the hospital. Also call to
schedule a Lay Eucharistic Minister to visit and give communion to your sick loved one at home on a regular basis. Please
call the parish office during office hours for any emergency.
Or call the parish office number after office hours to obtain
our emergency numbers. Please use church after hours
emergency numbers for urgent pastoral needs only.
MESSAGE FROM JESUS
“Encourage souls to place great trust in My fathomless mercy. Let
the weak, sinful soul have no fear to approach Me, for even if it had
more sins that there are grains of sand in the world, all would be
drowned in the unmeasurable depths of My mercy.”

4 Ways To Transform Your Teen Years
by Emily Pellarin
Make Memories
There are so many opportunities to make memories
that last a lifetime as a teenager. Don’t be afraid to
put yourself out there and enjoy life. Go to the
dance with that cute guy or girl that asks you. Sign
up for that summer trip. Go on that retreat. Stay up
and have those deep conversations about life. Play
glow and the dark ultimate frisbee at midnight.
Spend time with your family. Try out for that play or
sports team. You’ll never wish you had spent more
time watching Netflix instead of living life.
Forgive
Your relationships with your family and friends will
change a lot in your teenage years. You will say
things you wish you could take back and so will the
people around you. Don’t torture yourself holding
grudges or needing to get back at everyone who was
mean to you.
Not everyone will apologize. But holding on to anger
only hurts you more. If that is really hard don’t be
afraid to find a parent, mentor, youth minister, or
counselor to help you let it go…
Stand Up
If you are passionate about serving the poor, or the
Pro-Life movement, or human trafficking, or even
recycling, do something about it. Organize a canned
good drive at your Church, organize a mission trip,
host a speaker at your school, join the recycling club.
Don’t be afraid to defend your beliefs about morality
and religion, either. When someone offers you a
drink or drugs at a party, it’s okay stand up and say
no. If someone is Jesus bashing, it’s okay to respectfully disagree and share how much Jesus means to
you.
It can be hard to do at first, but standing up for what
you believe in is powerful. Your voice, your drive,
your commitment can be a force of change in the
world.
Get to Know God
There is so much that changes in your teenage years
including you… why not get to know God who created you, knows you perfectly, and has a fantastic
plan for your life? Let God be the constant in your
life in the midst of all the changes of your teenage
years. God is a person, treat Him like He’s a person.
Make time in your life to get to know Him.
Go to Mass. Hang out at youth group. Find other
friends who want to get know God, too. Get yourself
to the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Join a Bible
study. Start a Bible study. Ask a holy person you
know to coffee, and ask them about their faith. Listen to praise and worship while you do your homework. Pray for 10 minutes every day when you wake
up and before you go to bed. Tell God about your
day on the way to class. Find a way to connect to
God and do it!
Being a teenager is doable, even if it can seem overwhelming sometimes. Know that you are never
alone, everyone here at LIfe Teen is praying for you.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
"Pride is an admission of
weakness; it secretly fears all
competition and dreads all
rivals.
- Bishop Fulton J. Sheen
In fact, the only reason why
the Immaculate permits us to
fall is to cure us from our selfconceit, from our pride, to
make us humble and thus
make us docile to the divine
graces.
-St. Maximilian Kolbe
Our own evil inclinations are
far more dangerous than any
external enemies.
-- St. Ambrose
Satisfaction consists in the
cutting off of the causes of the
sin. Thus, fasting is the proper
antidote to lust; prayer to
pride, to envy, anger and
sloth; alms to covetousness.
--St. Richard of Chichester
You must ask God to give you
power to fight against the sin
of pride which is your greatest
enemy – the root of all that is
evil, and the failure of all that
is good. For God resists the
proud.
-St. Vincent de Paul
To abstain from sinful actions
is not sufficient for the fulfillment of God's law. The very
desire of what is forbidden is
evil.
--St. Jean-Baptiste de la Salle
Enjoy yourself as much as
you like – if only you keep
from sin.
--Saint John Bosco
