MINISTRIES, EVENTS & ANNOUNCEMENTS
MINISTERIO EN ESPAÑOL
ADULT FORMATION
Primer Domingo de Adviento
First Sunday of Advent
LA VENIDA DEL REINO
Gospel: Luke 21:25-28, 34-36
Adults: What have been the strengths of your
prayer life? What habit of prayer could you
strengthen during this Advent season?
Children: What prayers will you say each day and
each week during Advent?
STEWARDSHIP REFLECTIONS
First Sunday of Advent
Reino, sino cómo vivirlo día a día. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co

ANGEL TREE
SOCIAL JUSTICE/RESTORATIVE
JUSTICE EVENT
During the month of November, parishioners have
the opportunity to help bring Christmas gifts to
Stockton children who have parents or other family
members who are incarcerated.
Please take an angel tag (or more) from one of the
two Advent Angel Trees located at the front and the
west entrances of the church. The tag will provide
the name of the child, age, toy request, and clothing
item with size. Please return the
wrapped gift with the angel tag (we
won’t know who the gift will belong to without it) and place under
either angel tree. Gifts will be delivered to the Advent Angel Tree families in
early December by church volunteers.
This year marks the 4th year that gifts
will also be provided to the children of the families
who depend on our Food Pantry.
For more information on
the Advent Angel Tree project,
please contact Susan Mora Loyko at 479-1944.

(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), we are
dedicated to prepare our current and future students for success, while remaining rooted in our
Christian values as they face the moral and ethical
challenges ahead. Your tax-deductible gift in any
amount can be made at anytime. Make checks payable to Presentation Parish School. Thank
you for your continued prayer and support
of our parish school ministry.
Monsignor’s Corner
On the feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Pope
Francis will inaugurate the PAPAL HOLY YEAR OF MERCY at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. I invite all of you on this, our National Holy Day of Obligation, to join with the Pope in praying for a more merciful world and Church. In
the document declaring this Holy Year, Pope Francis reminds us that it will coincide with the 50th anniversary of the closing of the Second Vatican Ecumenical
Council (and I was in Rome for that event as a theology student): “The walls
which for too long had made the Church a kind of fortress were torn down and
the time had come to proclaim the Gospel in a new way.” (#4). Let us remember
“that all things are possible for God.” (Mk 10:27) Our Mass schedule: Vigil,
Monday, December 7: 5:30pm (English), Tuesday, December 8: 6:00am
(English); 8:30am (School Mass); 5:30pm (Spanish).
