17500 SW Farmington Rd. Beaverton, Or 97007 Main Ph: 503-‐356-‐2660 Attendance Line: 503-‐356-‐2661 Fax: 503-‐356-‐2665 Matt Pedersen, Principal Kelly Bordwell, Assistant Principal Amy Henning, Assistant Principal Principal’s message, Mountain View Parents and Guardians, Even though the weather keeps changing on us and the leaves are falling outside the classrooms, the academics here at Mountain View are staying constant. The teachers and students have gotten into their routines and procedures for class lessons and schoolwork. Please continue to check your child’s planner for homework, projects, and other information from the classroom. We appreciate all your support and time in partnering with us for your child’s academic success. Mountain View has also started our after school programs on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There are opportunities in soccer, anime, strategy & logic, and After School Academy. A light snack is available for theses students right after school. If your child is interested in any of these activities, or might benefit from some extended academic study support, have them stop by the main office for a permission slip. We know there are times when your child will need to stay home but we also want to be certain you know attendance is extremely crucial to your child’s success. Excellent attendance can be directly tied to school achievement and high school graduation. Just a reminder, please call the attendance office at 503-‐356-‐2661 when you are keeping your child home for any illness or other reasons. Now that the holidays are approaching we encourage you to keep the school routine going, talk with your student about what they are learning, and stay in touch with our teachers. Above all, enjoy the season.
