Heavenly Father, We thank you for the gift of life and creation.
You are the source of all good things. We the parishioners of
Blessed Sacrament Church, come before you as a family with
our trust and hope placed before you. We thank you for all your
providential care, mercy and love you have shown to us through
the history of our parish community. We come before you to
ask your assistance upon our longtime dream of building a New
Parish Hall. Bless us as we embark on this project. Inspire in all
parishioners the desire to work for our community and share
our time, talent and treasure so that through generous hearts we
may complete the work we wish to start. Lord Jesus, we ask
and knock on your door with the confidence of your word in
our hearts, and trusting in your promises because nothing is
impossible for you. May we always give glory to your name
and may we, and this building project, always be protected and
blessed through the intercession of our loving Mother Mary.
Amen.

We would like to thank everyone who came and helped
demolish the parish hall. We thank those who worked
and lent us the equipment for this task, to the Altar Society for providing food for the workers. Thanks also to
everyone who helped in the packing and moving of all the
things from the parish hall to storage and all who in one
way or another helped in order to start seeing our dream
come true. The company will start construction work on
the 13th of July. Honor and glory to our God!
We would like to announce that our Jamaica will be held
on Sunday August 23 from 10:00am to 9:00pm. We invite
you to help us in planning and participating in this parish
event. Tickets for the main raffle are now available, the
drawing will be held the same day of the Jamaica at
7:30pm. If you would like to help sell tickets please talk to
Father after weekend masses or sign up with the parish
secretary during office hours. The tickets are $20 each…

Thanks for your support!
We inform you that we have finished the fence next to the
gazebo. We thank all of the people who helped coordinate
the work, donated the cement and their hard work to improve
that part of the property. Thanks to the ladies who donated
and prepared food for the workers. Thanks to the generosity
of all who gave during the second collections that are made
once a month for maintenance, this is how we can continue
to improve. We are a great family!
We have received the candlesticks that we were needing four
our church! We thank all of who made it possible to obtain
these items, especially to the Altar Society for their work,
sacrifice and dedication and all who donated a total of
$2,250. Our deepest thanks to Clyde and Hope Holman for
the donation of one of the candlesticks. May God reward
their generosity. Thanks for making a loving sacrifice in order to continue to enhance and have a more dignified worship space for our Lord.
We would like to thank Jake Gray’s family for suggesting
memorial donations for our parish building fund. May the
Lord grant him eternal rest and peace and strength to his wife
Betty and other family members.
Registrations for Catechism are open now. Please come
during office hours and provide a copy of the Baptismal
Certificate for each child to be registered. Registrations
must be renewed every year. You must be a registered
and active parishioner to be able to attend faith formation.
If you an adult and are interested about joining the
Catholic Church or in completing any of the sacraments
of Christian initiation, please come by the parish office
and register for the RCIA class.
Preparing the Way Campaign Update: “How can I repay
the LORD for all the good done for me?” – Psalm 116:12.
Preparing the Way campaign offers each of us an opportunity
to practice true Christian Stewardship by supporting our diocese and parish. Please do whatever you can to make the
campaign a success in our parish by pledging if you have not
done so. We made our parish goal and raised 256.000, which
equals 114% of our goal. We already got the second rebate
for an amount of $2.070.99 which go towards our building
fund. A big thanks to the 100 families who already pledged!
Our sincere thanks to 2 anonymous donors for the donation
of a brand-new laptop computer, 2 projectors and 2 screens
for our church and their installation. Thanks to their love for
our parish we will be able to use the media to project hymns,
prayers, videos etc. during the masses, retreats and catechesis. God bless them for their generous contribution.
A big thanks to all who helped during the Casino Night.
Thanks to the sponsors, Altar Society, St. Thomas Parish
Men’s Club, Arturo and Laura Mendoza, and to all who
helped in any way to make of this a successful event. The

Catechists Needed: There is an ongoing need for Catechists in our parish programs. As baptized Catholics, we
should grow in our own faith and spirituality and share
our faith with the next generation of Catholics. If you
have the desire, we have the support in place to allow you
to flourish in this Ministry. If you are considering the call
to serve as catechist, please call the parish office.
Summer is coming…. How Should One Dress for
Church? The Bible’s rules about dress cannot be applied
directly to today’s situation. Attending church in biblical
–era clothing, a cloak, tunic, sandals and a turban or veil,
would cause quite a disruption in most churches! But the
general principles of modesty and propriety can be applied. A general lesson from the New Testament is that
we should dress for public worship in a way that is generally considered appropriate. Standards of dress are different from church to church and change over time, but
we would avoid any style of dress that is offensive or
sends a message opposing the church community’s
value...no matter how hot it might be! “do you no know
that you are a temple of God and that the Spirits of God
dwells in you?... The temple of God is holy, which temple
you are.’
1Corinthians 3:16-17
