Fr. Dominic’s Movie Premiere Party at St.
Finbar
Fr. Dominic’s new feature-length film, Zola Jumped In, is
about a teenage deaf girl who, after her little brother is
killed, turns to a gang, a neighborhood church, and
pregnancy for a sense of belonging and purpose. The
deaf Zola (Shoniqua Shandai in a breakout performance)
narrates this otherwise silent movie, featuring captivating
music and sound design by St. Finbar parishioner Lydian
Tone.
Refreshments and Q&A with Fr. Dominic, Shoniqua,
Lydian, and others. DVDs and soundtrack CDs will be
available at a special price. The English audio version

Dinner
Every year the parish serves a turkey dinner on
Thanksgiving Day in Albert Hall. In order to make it a
success, we need the support of many parishioners. We
are looking for volunteers on Wednesday afternoon and
on Thursday Thanksgiving Day, people willing to donate
a cooked, unstuffed turkey, and financial support.

like to volunteer on Wednesday afternoon for set-up, or
on Thursday for meal service and clean up.
The turkeys must be delivered on Wednesday,
November 26, between 12 noon and 3 p.m.
