A Contemplative Rosary

(Rosarium Virginis Mariae),

inSan Jose, California, May 2005
Very Rev. Kenneth Brown, V.F.
June 1, 1949 to May 23, 2015
We received the sad news that
Fr. Ken Brown passed away
on Saturday, May 23rd.
Many of us knew him as
a Cal Poly Professor and member of
Old Mission Parish before he entered the
Seminary in the early 2000’s. He was ordained
priest here at the Mission in June of 2006.
We were truly blessed to have him as part of
our community and as a priest in our Diocese.
His services will take place at
St. Patrick’s Church in Arroyo Grande
where he has served as Pastor since 2008.

Words of Wisdom
“Be still and know
that I am god”
We are in the process of
evolution with new ideas and
new people helping us to grow
and learn from each other.
There will be new faces and
adjustments but we welcome
Grace and Brandon and hope
they will enjoy their experience
with us this summer.
As always we invite you to
come in and browse – sit
a while and read – listen
to the music and share a
little fellowship. We are
here 7 days a week from
9-5PM. Our staff is friendly,
knowledgeable and eager to
be of service.
Need
Help with
the Rosary
A local care facility has
requested that someone
from the Mission Parish
come in once a week to say
the rosary with about six to
eight of the Catholics there.
The Activities Director at
the facility will work with
the Volunteer/Minister to
discover a day and time that
works for everyone. Please
contact Patty Moyer Pepper,
Coordinator of Pastoral Care
Ministries at (805) 441-7901 if
you are interested in taking
on this wonderful ministry.
She will be happy to share
the specifics with you.
Thank you.

If you know of anyone who
is unable to attend Mass and
would like Communion brought
to their home, please contact
Patty Moyer Pepper, Coordinator
of Pastoral Care Ministries. She
can be reached on her cell phone

attends one of our Masses is
obviously missing, let us know
that as well and we will check on
them to see if they need a visit.
Thanks for helping us care for

EFLECTION OF THE WEEK
May 31, 2015
The Most Holy Trinity
The gospel reading today concludes
the book of Matthew. It was at
this point that Jesus, knowing he
was about to return to the Father,
commissioned the apostles to carry
the message of the Good News into
all the world. They would baptize,
make more disciples, and teach the
message Jesus had brought them.
Jesus made it clear that his ascension
did not mark an absence; he would
always be with them. This gospel
message is the foundation of the
Church and makes clear what we are
called to do and be.

Adult: What can I do to proclaim the
Good News of Jesus and help people
fall in love with him?
Child: What can I do to be a witness of
Jesus and to live as his disciple?

Domingo de la Santísima Trinidad
NIÑOS DE LA PRIMERA COMUNION
¡FELICIDADES!
Bendice a
P. Braulio
