SAMPLE LESSON REAL SPANISH ahora mismo LEVEL I This sample lesson includes examples from 3 different sources : Partner Conversa,ons (available as a printed color flip book and as an eBook for projec>ng in the classroom), the Student Ac,vity Book, and the Teacher’s Guide INSTRUCTIONS : o Model the conversa>on for your students. Have them repeat aFer you several >mes un>l they are fairly comfortable with the pronuncia>on. o Once they are comfortable, have them prac>ce with their partner. As they are prac>cing, you can circulate, listen to groups, and model correct pronuncia>on. o Vary the partner prac>ce by seKng students up in two lines, face to face, and having them switch partners, as one group moves down the line. (You may also use inner/outer circles for this.) o Call on a group or two to perform the conversa>on for the class. o Allow them to prac>ce some more, perhaps using real classroom objects or using the vocabulary cards provided in this sample. o The next day in class, review and prac>ce the conversa>on. You may ask students to memorize the conversa>on and present it for the class. A rubric is provided in this sample. o Allow students >me to complete the wriPen ac>vity from the Student Ac,vity Book, reminding them that they will have a quiz on the vocabulary. o Once the students are very comfortable with the structures, expressions, and vocabulary from the conversa>on, give them the quiz.
