The Rosary and Prayer Shawl Makers is a
church ministry devoted to making Prayer
Shawls and Rosaries for the sick. The
ministry says prayers for the sick while
hand-making their beautiful Prayer Shawls
and Rosaries. Divine Mercy and Miraculous
Medals are also attached to the Prayer Shawls
and then they are blessed. This ministry
meets most Thursday mornings at
9 AM in FFC 5 if you would like to join
them. The gifts they make for the sick are in high demand so Rosary and Prayer Shawl
Makers, along with heavy yarn, lining material for prayer shawl bags, and Rosary parts
are always needed. The Eucharistic Ministers also tend to the sick, bringing them the
most Holy Eucharist weekly. If you feel you are called to become a Eucharist
Minister, please contact Linda in the Parish Office.
Sharron quickly assembled my St. Benedict
Rosary; it is so wonderful to have this Rosary again
as I left the one I previously had at the bedside of a
sick person over thirty years ago. The Cross of
St. Benedict is the cross of a happy death. The
medal on the cross is inscribed with “Eius in obitu
nostro prasentia muniamur,” which means “ May
we be strengthened by His presence in the hour of
our death.” The reverse side of the medal is
inscribed with several letters; their significance is
described below:
CSPB: The Cross of
Holy Father Benedict.
CSSML: May the Holy
Cross be my light.
NDSMD: Let the devil not be my leader.
VRS: Get behind me Satan.
NSMV: Entice me not with deceits.
SMQL: What you are showing me is bad.
IVB: Drink your poisons yourself.

Sharron rápidamente ensambló mi Rosario de San Benedicto;
Santo Padre Benedicto.
CSSML: Que la Santa
Cruz sea mi luz.
FIESTA PARROQUIAL DE HALLOWEEN
NDSMD: No dejes que el demonio
