What has been the best part about life in Sydney?
Sydney is one of the most emblematic cities in the world. The unforgettable
Darling Harbour and its iconic Opera House make this city a place not only
to study but also to enjoy its hustle and bustle lifestyle. With a wide cultural
offer and impressive beaches such as Manly and Bondi, Sydney is the
perfect place to live.
Do you have any advice to students from your country thinking
about studying at the University of Sydney?
The best advice that I can give to people thinking to study at the University
of Sydney is “don’t think about it, just do it”. The University of Sydney and
its CET offer a high quality teaching standards providing a professional and
customised treatment in order to get the most out of your program/course.
In addition, the CET staff will help you to make your stay in Sydney enjoyable
and lively.
What has been the best part about your academic program?
The one- to-one classes during the English for Specific Purposes allowed me to adapt quickly to an academic English
environment. Thanks to the outstanding professors of CET I gained enough confidence to give oral presentations in
public and I developed, as well, the basic knowledge to critically analyse scientific papers.
Moreover, the opportunity to study with different people from around the world with different backgrounds and
cultures during ASAS program made me aware about the importance of teamwork and networking.

How long have you been at CET? Which program? What will you do after CET?
I spent 4 weeks at CET doing a customised program of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) for Marine Science and
part of the Advance Skills for Academic Success (ASAS) program. Both courses have allowed me to succeed in doing
the Master of Environment at the University of Melbourne.
What has been your most memorable moment at the University of Sydney?
The customised program of English for Specific Purposes gave me the opportunity to give an oral presentation about
research that I did during my undergraduate degree of Marin Science in Spain to the Deputy Director Centre for Research on
Ecological Impacts of Coastal Cities (The University of Sydney), Dr. Will Figueira and his PhD students.

What has been the best part about your academic program?

How long have you been at CET? Which program? What will you do after CET?
What has been your most memorable moment at the University of Sydney?
