Circle of Friends: Friday 6th Feb 8.30 – 11.15pm. (Queen’s Hall) Brighter days are
approaching. Come along and enjoy live acoustic entertainment in the bar. Entertainment
starts 8.30pm prompt with resident band Powder Keg.
Catholic 18–30(ish) Parish Group: our next meeting will be on Sunday 8th February
after the 6.30pm evening Mass. If you would like the opportunity to meet, pray, socialise
and share the Catholic Faith with other young(ish) Catholics, please speak to one of the

Parish New Year Party: The Parish SVP will be holding their annual New Year Party on
Sunday 15th February 2015 from 2pm to 4pm in the Queens Hall. First class entertainment
provided by the duo 'In Accord' who will play and sing songs from a variety of hit musicals
and sing-a-long medleys for all to join in. Transport can be provided for those who need it,
including wheelchair users. There is free light refreshments, raffle and bingo. IHOM contact

Mums and Tots Parish Group: meet every Tuesday morning during term time from
9.30am till 11.00am in Queen’s Hall. The group is very busy and the three helpers who run
and organize the group would like volunteers to come forward. If you can spare an hour a
week to help set up/clear away or make a cup of tea then please let one of the clergy know
or contact the Parish office (details on the front of the bulletin).
Children’s Liturgy IHOM: Please remember Liturgy is for school age children in Reception, YR1 and YR2. Parents of children intending to attend Liturgy, please sign your children in at the back of church on arrival. Can parents also write their child's FULL name on a
piece of paper (next to sign in sheet) and give this to the child to take to the hall with them.

FINANCE: Offertory Collection £2910.51. Many thanks. If you pay tax and have not
already taken out gift aid on your donation and wish to do so, please speak to one of our
priests. Doing so increases your donation by 25% at no expense to you, as we claim that
amount from the Inland Revenue.
CONFIRMATION: Any of our young Parishioners who will be 13 years or older by 31st August 2015 and who wish to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, please see one of the
Priests to collect an application form after Mass. Forms must be returned to the parish office
by the end of Monday 23rd February. Please note the following Dates: The classes will be
on Sunday 1st, 8th, 22nd & 29th March; 26th April and 10th May, 2pm-4pm in the
Queens Hall (candidates must attend all classes); Penitential Service: Tuesday 19th May
7pm at IHOM, then Sacrament of Confirmation: Tuesday 2nd June at 7pm at IHOM
Church. Candidates wanting to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation are taking on a commitment to live that faith which only makes sense if you are a practising catholic attending
weekly Mass.
Forty Hours Exposition: Friday 20th - Saturday 22nd February in IHOM Church. Friday
begins after the 9.15am Mass and will continue until 9.45am Saturday (all night Exposition). Saturday 10.30am—5.00pm. Sunday after 11.00am Mass until Benediction at
4.00pm—sheets to sign up will be pout at the back of Church next weekend. The 40hours
are also preparation for a Parish Mission March 22nd—26th 2015.
Cake sale after all morning Masses today Sunday 1st February in
the Queens Hall at IHOM. All welcome. Tickets for the “Ballroom
of Romance” afternoon dance at the Queen’s Hall will also be on sale, £5 each, light lunch
included.
Church Car Park at IHOM: will be closed Wednesday 4th February due to work being
carried out on the drains. Those attending morning Mass will be able to use the car park.
St Paul’s Mothers Prayers: our next meeting will be on Friday 6th February in St Paul’s
hall after the 12.30pm Mass.
Children's Liturgy At IHOM: we now have a newly decorated self contained Liturgy
room for those children attending Liturgy at 9.30am Mass each Sunday. The room will be
officially opened and blessed on Sunday 1st March after Mass. It will give parents the opportunity to see where the cherished little one’s go each Sunday. There will also be the opportunity to have a cuppa and a chat with those who help with the group. All welcome.
60+ Group: Wednesday 11th March a trip to Thompsons fish & chip
restaurant. After the meal a short drive into York, for a spot of sightseeing & retail therapy.
(staying about 2 hrs). The coach fare, inc tip for the Driver, is £9.50, fish & chips paid
for on the day. Prices for 1,2 or 3 courses is on the notice board. Tetley's coach will
leave from outside the I.H.O.M at 11 am our reservation for the meal is 12 noon. Leaving
for home about 4 pm. The list to sign up for the trip will be put on the N.B on Sunday 1st
February & taken down on Monday 9th February after morning Mass. Anyone who can't
get down to sign the list please phone me, Shirley 2665408 so that one of the Committee
can help out. This trip was very successful last year, so put your name down a.s.a.p.
