GROUP EXERCISE
The Greater Pittston YMCA understands that
people are, at heart, social animals who often
fall short of health and wellness goals when
forced to go it alone. We are motivated,
challenged, and inspired to do our best when
in the presence of like-minded people seeking
similar goals and objectives. Sure, it is
possible to accomplish one’s wellness goals
completely on your own… but where’s the fun
in that? The YMCA believes in promoting
“Healthy Lifestyles” for its members and
program participants in a way that will help
them attain their fullest potential in spirit,
mind and body… and, for many, group
exercise fulfills that purpose. See our full
schedule online, pick one up at the Y!

due to space limitations and program design. To keep our class
fees as low as possible, we will not be able to issue credits or
make-ups for missed classes, even if they occur as a result of
inclement weather including storm lightning. The storm policy is
to close the pool when lightning is overhead, and to remain
closed until 30 minutes after the last lightning strike. Class
credits may be issued at the discretion of the Aquatic
Department if accompanied by a physician’s note that the
participant was not able to participate in a scheduled class.
