Monday and Tuesday, April 13-14, 8:00 am—5:00 pm
Master fundamental theory and application
principles for turf/landscape in this intensive
session for experienced irrigators (taught in Imperial
units). Two full days cover soil-water-plant relationships, advanced hydraulics, electricity, pumps, specialty valves and irrigation equipment. Recommended
review for the certified irrigation designer exam (Steps

meters. Learn to systematically assess and resolve even
the most confusing electrical problems.

Take your landscape designs to the next level by learning fundamentals of irrigation design. Irrigation designers complete two designs from start to finish during this fast-paced, two-day overview of basic hydraulics, head layout, zoning, pipe sizing, routing and
matched precipitation rate principles.
This two-day class is a comprehensive refresher for experienced contractors. Topics include soil-water-plant
relationships, hydraulics, basic electricity, grounding,
pumps, job safety requirements, relevant building codes,
scheduling, water-use efficiency and system uniformity.
Recommended review for the certified irrigation contractor exam.
Advanced Irrigation Design for Water

including uniformity, equipment selection and technology. This full-day session will address advanced concepts for irrigation designers, contractors, water purveyors, suppliers and other irrigation professionals.

Advanced Irrigation Wiring and
Troubleshooting (8 CEUs)
Friday, April 17, 8:00 am—5:00pm
Master wiring for today’s sophisticated control systems
and learn how to design and install grounding system
components to protect expensive equipment. This fullday session will cover different types of transformers,
proper phasing (primary and secondary), diagnosing
problems using different meters, wire sizing for communication cables and two-wire systems, DC controllers,
sensors, decoders, special solenoids and proper splicing
techniques.

Intermediate courses are for those with some experience in
irrigation and comprehension of irrigation concepts and
knowledge of the principles required in the beginner courses.
Advanced courses are for individuals who have a working
knowledge of irrigation.
