STS Pty Ltd to deliver internationally accredited specialist security training
ASIAL member Specialist Tactical Solutions (STS Pty Ltd) has been selected to receive
Security Industry Authority (SIA) accreditation to deliver internationally accredited specialist
security training.
This will include Security Operator and the 17-day Close Personal Protection (CPP) training
course, greatly sought after for professionals operating in hostile environments.
Executive Director Stuart Thompson said, due to Australia’s restrictive gun legislation, the
live firearms section of the training will be delivered in PNG and in Malaysia by a team of
expert instructors.
The instructors have extensive experience, having served many years with police,
paramilitary, military and private security contractors in some of the world’s most hostile
regions.
“This is big news for many professional security contractors in our region as it makes training
available that previously Australians had to travel to South Africa, EU and USA at great
cost,” Mr Thompson said.
“We are very honoured to receive SIA & BSIA accreditation. We believe it is long overdue
that this level of training be made available to Australians.”
STS Pty Ltd form part of a new international network of specialist security providers and
trainers - GY6 Global, which will launch at the end of January 2015.
