PENNSYLVANIA AUTO SHOW VEHICLE GIVEAWAY
OFFICIAL RULES
1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. The Pennsylvania Auto
Show Vehicle Giveaway (the “Promotion”) is sponsored by Harrisburg
Automotive Trade Association (“HATA”) to be held at the 2015 Pennsylvania
Auto Show (the “Auto Show”). Promotion is only offered in the Pennsylvania
counties of Adams, Berks, Centre, Chester, Clinton, Columbia, Cumberland,
Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh,
Lycoming, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan,
Union and York and the Maryland counties of Baltimore, Carroll, Cecil, Frederick,
Harford and Washington (the “Promotion Area”). Void outside Promotion Area
and where prohibited.
2. Promotion is subject to all federal, state and local laws. HATA shall be entitled to
interpret these Official Rules as needed — including but not limited to rules
regarding entries, deadlines, selection of Daily Prize winners, Qualifiers, Finalists
and/or winners, prizes, prize restrictions, and eligibility — and all of its decisions
are final. By entering, each entrant irrevocably, fully and unconditionally agrees
to be bound by these Official Rules and waives any right to claim ambiguity in
these Official Rules and or any other Promotion-related advertising or materials.
3. Promotion begins on January 29, 2015. Final entry deadline is February 1, 2015
at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time (“ET”). Drawings to determine Daily Prize winners,
Qualifiers and Finalists will be held on or about January 29, 30, 31, and February
1, 2015. Grand Prize and Runner Up Prize winners will be determined at a live
event on February 3, 2015 (the “Draw Down Event”). Finalists must attend the
Draw Down Event in order remain eligible. (see below). HATA’s computer is the
official time-keeping device for this Promotion.
4. Each winner will be issued an IRS 1099 MISC tax form (or its equivalent) for
the ARV of the prize awarded if required. Each winner is solely and
exclusively responsible for any and all state, federal or local income taxes
that may result from his or her acceptance of prize.
ELIGIBILITY
5. To be eligible, each entrant must be at least eighteen (18) years old and a legal
resident of the Promotion Area (above) as of date of entry.
6. Employees of HATA, Media General Operations, Inc. d/b/a WHTM TV Channel
10 (“abc27”), any of the Participating Dealers (defined below), or any other entity
directly involved in the development or administration of this Promotion, and the
members of their immediate families (defined as spouse, parents, siblings or
children) and households (whether or not related), are not eligible to enter or win.
The term "household" includes all persons residing together in a single
residence, whether or not related.
PRIZES
7. Grand Prize (1): Winner’s selection (from submitted entry form) of one (1) of the
twenty-three (23) vehicles set forth below (the “Vehicle Selections”) displayed by
their respective participating dealerships (the “Participating Dealerships”) during
the Pennsylvania Auto Show in the “Vehicle Giveaway” area in the Certified PreOwned Showcase area, which is located in the Main Hall, with a minimum value
of $25,000. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): Minimum of $25,000.

8. Runner-Up Prizes (4): One (1) $50 Visa Gift Card. ARV: $50.
9. Daily Prizes (92): One (1) gift certificate redeemable for sixty (60) minute
Swedish Relaxation Massage at Spalon, 2515 Paxton Street, Harrisburg, PA
17111, valid for six (6) months after date of issuance. Prize does not include
automatic minimum gratuity. ARV: $89.
10. The odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. Limit one (1)
Finalist position per household. See below.
PRIZE RESTRICTIONS
11. Grand Prize vehicle manufacturer, make, model and trim level are subject to
change. Color and options of vehicle are subject to change. Vehicle
manufacturer, make, model, trim level, color and options are subject to change.
Winner is solely responsible for tax, tag, title, license, registration, dealer
preparation costs, insurance and other fees associated with prize. Actual value of
Grand Prize will vary depending on the actual Vehicle Selection chosen by
winner at the time of entry. Grand Prize winner will not be entitled to any
compensation or reimbursement for difference in value between the Vehicle
Selection chosen by winner at the time of entry and the ARV of any of the other
Vehicle Selections.
12. Grand Prize winner must claim his or her prize no later than ten (10) days after
Draw Down Event (or notification, if an alternate Grand Prize). Failure to do so
will result in forfeiture of the Grand Prize. Grand Prize winner is solely
responsible for pick-up or delivery of the vehicle from designated dealership,
whose location will be determined. In order to claim Grand Prize vehicle, and as
a condition of taking possession of Grand Prize vehicle, Grand Prize winner must
present a valid driver's license and proof of insurance in amounts sufficient under
applicable law and may be required to sign customer purchase
agreement/acknowledgment and/or other documents as required by dealership.
13. Spalon gift card prizes do not include, and winners are solely responsible for
payment of, the automatic minimum gratuity, as well as any additional optional
gratuity. Spalon gift cards must be redeemed within six (6) months of issuance
and redemption is subject to availability and reservations. For more information,
visit http://spalon.info or call (717) 236-5701. Gift card or gift certificate prizes are
subject to the terms and conditions thereon as well as any additional conditions
imposed by issuer. All prize details shall be at HATA’s sole discretion. Each
winner assumes sole responsibility for all expenses and incidental costs
associated with the prize not explicitly outlined above, including any other fees,
surcharges, additional gratuities, products, services, upgrades, or extras and
personal items.
14. Non-cash prizes are not redeemable for cash and may not be sold, bartered or
auctioned. Any prize or portion thereof not used or accepted by any winner is
forfeited and no cash substitute will be offered or permitted. The right to receive
any prize is not transferrable. Grand Prize winner will not be permitted to change
the Vehicle Selection from original entry form. Prizes may not be substituted
except that HATA in its discretion may substitute a prize, or portion thereof, with
a prize or portion of equal or greater value if it deems necessary. Any such
changes will be announced.
15. Prizes offered are provided “as is” with no warranty or guarantee either express
or implied by HATA. Merchandise prizes (if any) carry no warranty other than that
offered by manufacturer. HATA has neither made nor is responsible or liable for
any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law,
relative to prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or
fitness for a particular purpose. Other restrictions apply.
TO ENTER
16. Entries will be accepted beginning January 29, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. ET and ending
February 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. ET. Entries will only be accepted in person at the
Auto Show, at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center, 2301
North Cameron Street, Harrisburg, PA 17110. You do not have purchase a ticket
to the Auto Show to enter the Promotion.
17. As noted above, the each of the twenty-free (23) Participating Dealerships will
offer a new or certified pre-owned Vehicle Selection, from which the Grand Prize
will be awarded. The Vehicle Selections will be on display during the Auto Show.
Each Vehicle Selection will have corresponding entry boxes (one (1) outside the
Auto Show entrance and one (1) inside near the corresponding Vehicle Selection
or Participating Dealership).
18. To enter, follow the instructions to complete an official entry form with all required
information, which may include name, address, telephone number, e-mail
address, and date of birth or age. Deposit your completed entry form in the
official entry box corresponding to your desired Vehicle Selection. If you are
selected as the Grand Prize winner, you only be entitled to claim the Vehicle
Selection corresponding to your entry form. No changes or substitutions will be
allowed. You may only enter one (1) time. Entries will not be accepted via any
other method.
19. To be included in a scheduled Daily Prize winner drawing (see below), entries
must be received no later than one (1) hour prior to the scheduled drawing. All
entries must be received by HATA no later than February 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.
ET. Limit one (1) entry per person. Additional entries received from any such
person thereafter will be subject to disqualification. No group submissions will be
accepted. Non-winning entries will carry forward to subsequent Daily Prize
winner drawings. Entries must include a valid e-mail address and/or telephone
number for the entrant. HATA is not responsible for electronic communications
that are undeliverable as a result of any form of passive or active filtering of any
kind. Entrants who fail to provide any required information may be disqualified
without further notification by HATA.
20. HATA is not responsible for entries that are lost, misdirected, incomplete,
illegible, incorrect or late for any reason, and all such entries are void. HATA
reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entry at any time that in
its opinion does not comply with these Official Rules. Entries become the
property of HATA and will not be returned or acknowledged.
SELECTION, NOTIFICATION AND VERIFICATION OF DAILY PRIZE WINNERS,
QUALIFIERS & FINALISTS
21. On January 29, 2015, at 8:00 p.m., January 30, 2015 at 8:00 p.m., January 31,
2015 at 8:00 p.m., and February 1, 2015, at 3:00 p.m., or within a reasonable
time thereafter, HATA or its designee will randomly choose one (1) name from all
timely entries received for each Vehicle Selection. Twenty-three (23) names will
be drawn during each such drawing, for a total of ninety-two (92) names. Subject
to verification of eligibility, the persons whose names are so drawn will be
declared the Daily Prize winners. HATA reserves the right to select fewer than
the stated number of Daily Prize winners in the event that it does not receive an
adequate number of properly submitted entries.
22. On February 1, 2015, immediately following the last Daily Prize winner drawing,
or within a reasonable time thereafter, HATA or its designee will randomly
choose one (1) of the Daily Prize winners from each Vehicle Selection. Subject to
verification of eligibility, the twenty-three (23) Daily Prize winners whose names
are so drawn will be declared the Qualifiers (“Qualifiers”).
23. On February 1, 2015, immediately following the Qualifier drawing, or within a
reasonable time thereafter, HATA or its designee will randomly choose five (5) of
the Qualifiers. Subject to verification of eligibility, the five (5) Qualifiers whose
names are so drawn will be declared the finalists (“Finalists”).
24. HATA will contact each potential winner in accordance with the information
supplied to HATA on his or her entry form. Each potential Finalist must respond
to initial notification no later than 12:00 p.m. (noon) on February 2, 2015 and may
be required to present valid photo identification, signed affidavit or declaration of
eligibility, liability release, publicity release (where legal) to HATA at the Drawn
Down Event as a condition of continued participation. Finalists will be required to
attend the Draw Down Event in person on February 3, 2015 (see below) to
remain eligible to win. All other potential winners must respond to initial
notification within forty-eight (48) hours after initial notification and may be
required to present valid photo identification, signed affidavit or declaration of
eligibility, liability release, publicity release (where legal) to HATA within ten (10)
days of notification prior to receiving the prizes.
25. In the event that any potential Daily Prize winner (a) cannot be contacted directly
by, or does not respond to, HATA by the deadlines stated above, (b) fails to
satisfy any eligibility or verification requirement herein, (c) declines to accept the
prize, (d) or is otherwise determined to be ineligible, HATA in its discretion may
disqualify that individual and that Daily Prize will not be awarded.
26. In the event that any potential Finalist (a) cannot be contacted directly by, or
does not respond to, HATA by 12:00 p.m. (noon) on February 2, 2015, (b) fails to
satisfy any eligibility or verification requirement herein, (c) declines to participate
in the Draw Down Event, (d) or is otherwise determined to be ineligible, HATA in
its discretion may disqualify that Finalist, and an alternate Finalist be chosen by
random drawing as soon as reasonably practicable after such disqualification.
Any alternate Finalists must respond to notification no later than the close of
business on February 2, 2015 and are otherwise subject to all eligibility
requirements and restrictions of these Official Rules. If time permits, HATA will
attempt to verify up to one (1) alternate Finalist for any Finalist position. If HATA
cannot verify a Finalist for a particular Finalist position after one (1) alternate
attempt, no further attempts will be made for that Finalist position and the number
of Finalists will be reduced accordingly.
DRAW DOWN EVENT
27. On February 3, 2015, the Draw Down Event will be conducted during a live
broadcast of Good Day PA! at the abc27 studios, located at 3235 Hoffman
Street, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Finalists must check in to the Drawn Down
Event no later than 11:30 a.m. and remain for the duration of the Draw Down
Event to remain eligible.
28. During the Draw Down Event, HATA or its designee will conduct a reverse
drawing to determine the winners. In other words, the four (4) Runner Up prize
winners will be drawn first and the last Finalist whose name remains will be
declared the Grand Prize winner. Each winner may be required to execute an
affidavit or declaration of eligibility, liability release, publicity release (where
legal), tax forms and/or other legal documents prior to receiving any prize.
29. In the event that the potential Grand Prize winner (a) fails to satisfy any eligibility
or verification requirement herein, (c) declines to accept the prize, (d) or is
otherwise determined to be ineligible, HATA in its discretion may disqualify that
individual and the next Finalist (the First Prize winner) will be declared the
alternate Grand Prize winner as soon as reasonably practicable after such
disqualification. HATA will continue this process until the Grand Prize winner is
verified or until no Finalists remain, in which case HATA reserves the right to
select an alternate Grand Prize winner at random from the remaining Qualifiers.
Any alternate Grand Prize winner is subject to all eligibility requirements and
restrictions of these Official Rules. If necessary, HATA will continue this process
until no further Qualifiers remain, after which no further attempts will be made
and the Grand Prize will not be awarded.
30. HATA may, in its sole discretion, post any or all of the verified winners' names on
any of HATA’s websites, including http://www.motortrendautoshows.com.
PUBLICITY RELEASE
31. By accepting a prize, each winner agrees to award HATA the right to publicize
his or her name, photographs (including the use and appearance of winner's
photograph on HATA’s websites), likeness, biographical information, e-mail
address, voice and details of winning for purposes of this and future promotions
without further compensation, except where prohibited.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY & DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
32. By entering, each entrant agrees that HATA, Media General, Inc., abc27,
Facebook, the Participating Dealerships, any other company involved in the
development or administration of this Promotion, and a range of subsidiaries,
directors, agents, agencies, affiliates, franchisees, promoters, prize suppliers,
officers, directors, employees and related persons (collectively, “Released
Parties”): (a) are not responsible for technical failures of any kind, including but
not limited to lost, disconnected, interrupted, or unavailable network, server, or
other connections, late, lost, undeliverable, damaged or stolen mail, or for any
failed telephone or computer hardware or software, or for any failed, delayed,
misdirected, corrupted, or garbled transmissions or errors of any kind, whether
human, written, mechanical, or electronic, or for entries that for any reason are
not received by HATA by any deadline stated above; (b) are not responsible for
any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing,
typographical or other errors or by any of the equipment or programming
associated with or utilized in the Promotion or in the printing of this offer,
administration of this Promotion, or in the announcement of the prizes; (c) are not
responsible for any injury or damage to any computer, modem or other electrical
device as a result of participation in this Promotion or downloading of any
software or materials; (d) are not responsible for unauthorized human
intervention in any part of the Promotion; (e) are not responsible for any printing,
typographical, technical, computer, network or human error that may occur in the
administration of the Promotion, the acceptance of entries, the selection of
winners, the prizes or otherwise in any Promotion-related materials; (f) are not
responsible for any unauthorized third party use of any entry; (g) are not
responsible for the inability to select winners because of postal failure, equipment
failure, or data storage failure; and (h) are released from any and all alleged,
existing, or future actions, claims, and/or liabilities of whatever nature including,
but not limited to, personal injury, bodily injury (including, without limitation,
wrongful death and disability), property damage, and expense (including, without
limitation, reasonable attorneys’ fees) and loss or damage of any other kind,
arising in whole or in part directly or indirectly, from participating in the Promotion
(in whole or in part), the use (including modification, adaptation, and
reproduction) of entry materials during or after the Promotion, and the delivery,
acceptance, possession, redemption, use, misuse, loss, or misdirection of any
prize.
33. RELEASED PARTIES EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES
OF ANY KIND (WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR
OTHERWISE), INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES
OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND
NON-INFRINGEMENT. RELEASED PARTIES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE OR
RESPONSIBLE FOR THOSE GUARANTEES OR WARRANTIES MADE OR
OFFERED BY ADVERTISERS, PARTNERS, MANUFACTURERS OR
SUPPLIERS, INCLUDING THOSE RELATED TO ANY PRIZE. UNDER NO
CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL RELEASED PARTIES BE HELD RESPONSIBLE
OR LIABLE FOR YOUR USE OF THE INFORMATION AND/OR PRODUCTS
PROVIDED AND/OR MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE PROMOTION OR
FOR ERRORS OR ANOMALIES RESULTING IN THE UNINTENDED OR
ERRONEOUS PARTICIPATION, AWARD OF ANY PRIZE OR OTHER
BENEFITS UNDER THESE OFFICIAL RULES. RELEASED PARTIES OFFER
NO ASSURANCES, GUARANTEES OR WARRANTIES THAT THE
PROMOTION OR RELATED WEBSITES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR
ERROR-FREE AND DO NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY
OF ANY INFORMATION OBTAINED THROUGH THE PROMOTION.
RELEASED PARTIES WILL NOT BE LIABLE, AND ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE,
FOR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND RELATED TO YOUR PARTICIPATION IN OR
INABILITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROMOTION, WHETHER THE
DAMAGES ARE DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL.
34. BY ENTERING THE PROMOTION AND/OR ACCEPTING A PRIZE, YOU
AGREE THAT THE RELEASED PARTIES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR, AND
WILL BE HELD HARMLESS BY YOU AGAINST, ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY
DAMAGE, INJURY OR LOSS TO PERSON (INCLUDING DEATH) OR
PROPERTY RELATED IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY,
TO ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, REDEMPTION, USE OR MISUSE OF
PRIZE, PARTICIPATION IN ANY PRIZE-RELATED ACTIVITY, USE BY A
RELEASED PARTY OF ANY ENTRY, PARTICIPATION IN THE PROMOTION,
OR ANY OTHER CLAIM OR CAUSE OF ACTION YOU MAY HAVE AGAINST A
RELEASED PARTY.
35. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF
LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE
ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU IN
WHOLE OR IN PART.
MISCELLANEOUS
36. HATA reserves the right to cancel, suspend or terminate this Promotion or any
part thereof, in the event that HATA determines, in its sole discretion, that the
security, administration, fairness and/or operation of the Promotion has been
corrupted or impaired by any non-authorized intervention, network failure,
information storage failure, telecommunications failure, malfunction, or any other
cause beyond HATA’s control. In such an event, HATA will announce same and
select the Daily Prize winners, Qualifiers, Finalists or winners as applicable by
conducting a random drawing from among all non-suspect entries received prior
to the suspension, cancellation or termination of the Promotion or in such other
manner as HATA, in its sole discretion, deems fair and appropriate under the
circumstances.
37. HATA reserves the right to disqualify any individual from further participation in
the Promotion if HATA concludes, in its sole discretion, that such person (a) has
attempted to tamper with the entry process or other operation of the Promotion,
(b) has repeatedly disregarded or has attempted to circumvent these Official
Rules, or (c) has acted towards HATA or any other entrant in an unfair,
inequitable, deliberately annoying, threatening, disrupting or harassing manner.
Tampering includes attempting to enter more than the number of times permitted
herein, including through the use of any prohibited device or method. Any failure
by HATA to enforce any of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of
such Official Rules.
38. ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY INDIVIDUAL TO DEFRAUD, TAMPER WITH, OR
DELIBERATELY UNDERMINE, THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE
PROMOTION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND/OR CIVIL LAWS AND
HATA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO PURSUE ANY AVAILABLE DAMAGES OR
REMEDIES AGAINST SUCH INDIVIDUAL AND/OR REFER SUCH MATTERS
TO LAW ENFORCEMENT FOR PROSECUTION TO THE FULLEST EXTENT
PERMITTED BY LAW.
39. All activity arising out of and relating to the Promotion, including any reference to
an entrant's status as a "winner," is subject to verification and/or auditing for
compliance with the Official Rules. HATA reserves the right to conduct a
background check on any or all potential Finalists and/or winners, and HATA
reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual based on such
background check if HATA determines in its sole discretion that awarding a prize
to any such individual might reflect negatively on HATA. Each entrant agrees to
cooperate with HATA and its representatives in connection with any and all
verification, auditing and/or background check activities. If HATA determines, in
its sole discretion, that verification or auditing activity evidences non-compliance
of an entry and/or entrant with the Official Rules, HATA reserves the right to
disqualify such entry and/or entrant from the Promotion and any prize at any
time.
40. HATA reserves the right to correct typographical, printing or clerical errors in any
promotion-related materials. No more than the stated number of prizes will be
awarded. In the event that production, technical, seeding, programming or any
other reasons cause more than the stated number of prizes as set forth in these
Official Rules to be available and/or claimed, HATA reserves the right to award
only the stated number of prizes by a random drawing from among all legitimate,
un-awarded, eligible prize claims.
DISPUTES
41. By entering the Promotion, each entrant agrees that (a) any and all disputes,
claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Promotion, or
any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of
class action; (b) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to
actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the
Promotion, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (c) under no circumstances will
any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waives all
rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages and any and all
rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other
damages other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses. Some jurisdictions do not
allow for limitations on the ability to pursue class action remedies, or certain
kinds of damages, and so these limitations may not apply to you.
42. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between any terms or conditions
of these Official Rules and any disclosures or other statements contained in any

43. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and
enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrants
or Released Parties in connection with the Promotion, shall be governed by
Pennsylvania law, without giving effect to any choice of law rules that would
cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Pennsylvania.
Each entrant expressly agrees that any legal proceedings arising out of or
relating in any way to this Promotion or these Official Rules shall be brought only
in the federal or state courts located in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, and each
entrant consents to the mandatory and exclusive jurisdiction in such courts with
respect to any such legal proceedings.
44. In the event that any provision of these Official Rules is determined to be invalid
or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Official Rules shall otherwise remain
in effect and be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal
provision were not contained herein.
