AIR POLLUTION ACT (MARKETING, SALE,
DISTRIBUTION AND BURNING OF SPECIFIED FUELS)
(AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2015.
The Minister for the Environment, Community and Local
Government has made Regulations as above.
These Regulations amend the Air Pollution Act (Marketing,
Sale, Distribution and Burning of Specified Fuels) Regulations
2012 (S.I. No. 326 of 2012) by correcting typographical errors in
Regulations 5.(4), 8.(2) and 10.(6).
These Regulations further clarify Regulation 7 the Air Pollution
Act (Marketing, Sale, Distribution and Burning of Specified
Fuels) Regulations 2012. All persons selling or distributing
bituminous coal outside specified ban areas to end users must
ensure that (i) the product has a sulphur content no greater than
0.75%, (ii) that the product was sourced from a bagging
operator or solid fuel supplier who is currently registered with
the EPA and (iii) must hold a documentary record detailing the
EPA issued registration number of the Company that supplied
the product and this record must be made available on request
to authorised persons carrying out inspections. Registers can be
viewed online on the EPA website www.epa.ie.
fuels will apply in the additional townlands specified in these
Regulations.
These Regulations also extend the Specified Area of Wexford,
with effect from 1 June, 2015, to include Castlebridge and
certain other designated townlands. From this date the ban on
the marketing, sale, distribution and use of bituminous coal and
other specified fuels will apply in the town and Electoral
Division of Maynooth.

These Regulations extend the ban on the burning of bituminous
coal and other specified fuels inside specified ban areas to
include licensed premises under the Intoxicating Liquor Act,
such as pubs.
These Regulations also extend the Specified Area of CelbridgeLeixlip with effect from 1 June, 2015, to include Maynooth
Electoral Division, becoming the specified area of Celbridge,
Leixlip and Maynooth. From this date the ban on the marketing,
sale, distribution and use of bituminous coal and other specified

WATER SERVICES ACT 2014 (IRISH WATER
CUSTOMER REGISTRATION) ORDER 2015.
The purpose of these Regulations, is to amend the European
Communities (Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road and Use
of Transportable Pressure Equipment) Regulations 2011-2013 to
take account of the integration of the Irish National
Accreditation Board (formerly a Committee of Forfa´s), into the
Health and Safety Authority (HSA), as a Committee thereof,
with effect from 31st July, 2014, in advance of the dissolution of
Forfa´s on 1 August, 2014.
They provide that any fees for ADR related services by INAB
will be charged by, and payable to, the HSA.
This Statutory Instrument gives effect to the decision of the
Minister for the Environment, Community and Local
Government to specify the date by which the occupier of a
dwelling, provided with water services by Irish Water on
31 December, 2014, shall be required to register with Irish
Water for the purposes of Section 3(14) of the Act.

TAXI REGULATION (SMALL PUBLIC SERVICE
VEHICLE) REGULATIONS 2015.
The National Transport Authority has made Regulations under
the Taxi Regulation Act 2013 entitled as above.
These Regulations, made under the provisions of the Taxi
Regulation Act 2013, revoke the Small Public Service Vehicle
(Consolidation and Reform) Regulations 2014, save for
Regulation 52, the definition of ‘‘Prinicpal Act’’ and Schedule
10, which are revoked with effect from 30 April, 2015. Together
with the Taxi Regulation Act 2013, they provide the regulatory
framework in relation to the licensing and operation of small
public service vehicles.
