Items covered
Fees cover the course fee only. If you require books you can pay for them separately. The course fee is required in advance for the number of weeks booked.
Social Programmes and extra-curricular activities such as trips and visits in which you may want to participate, are charged as extras. Examination fees and certificates have to be paid

f)Refunds are always made to whoever paid the fees and not necessarily to the student
g)If, for any reason, you have to stop your course early, your tuition fees are non-refundable
h)If, for any reason, you want to leave your pre booked accommodation early or cancel your stay, the fees are non-refundable
COLLEGE RULES AND DISCIPLINE
Conduct
It is a condition of remaining at the College that you comply with its rules, code of practice and customs which may be amended from time to time. In particular you should ensure that
you attend College punctually and regularly.
We believe that students, teachers and staff should work together to create a productive and harmonious culture of learning. We expect students to:
a)Treat all fellow students and staff with respect. We do not allow people to be unfairly treated because of their age, disability, sexual orientation, gender, marital status, race, colour, or
beliefs. We do not allow bullying of any kind.
b)Follow the college safety, fire drill, no smoking, mobile phones and IT user rules.
c)Understand that we cannot accept the use of alcohol or illegal drugs on the premises.
d)Understand that you cannot smoke anywhere in the college buildings or grounds. Bring nothing into college that could be used to harm yourself or any other person.
e)Treat college property and other students’ property with respect. Behave in an appropriate manner in and around College Centre.
Attendance
The College requires students to attend all timetabled activities punctually according to their course timetable. Students should not miss a class for any reason other than illness or
other very exceptional circumstances, ideally notified to the College in advance. Lateness will not be accepted and consistent lateness will lead to disciplinary action.
If a student needs to miss a class, they, or someone acting on their behalf should:
a)Seek approval from the course tutor/Head of Department, in advance of any planned absence (e.g. for a doctor’s or dentist’s appointment);
b)Telephone the college reception before 9.00am to explain an unplanned absence. You will be required to provide full details and inform us of how long you expect to be absent.
c)Where relevant obtain a letter from your doctor for any illness lasting more than two days.
d)On return to the College, following any period of absence, you will be required to complete a form explaining the absence. This will be placed in your file and where appropriate you
may be interviewed by the head of your department.
e)Under UKBA regulations the college is not able to allow students to repeat any part of study. You must make arrangements with each subject tutor to ‘catch up’ with any missed
study.
f)If you are absent without authorisation and fail to inform the college the reasons for your absence after one week, we will assume you have withdrawn from the course. If you are an
International student this means your withdrawal of your sponsorship leading to a report to the UKBA for breach of visa regulations.
