Chairman’s Message
E
ducation especially in the field of engineering and
technology has the power and strength to embrace
the entire universe. Engineering and technology can
provide solutions to almost all the problems that the world
faces today. It can help meet infrastructure issues; face
challenges of climate change; revolutionize technology and
enhance the quality of life on Earth. Our system of education
and training must therefore equip tomorrow’s engineering
professionals to shoulder growing responsibilities.
Thakur College of Engineering and Technology (TCET)
started in the academic year 2001-2002 with a strong
belief that the private sector has an important role to play in
imparting quality education. TCET offers the right academic
ambience for value-based higher education through a
world-class infrastructure, excellent teaching- learning with
the right intermingling of co-curricular and extra-curricular
activities.
With its dedicated team of research oriented faculty
members, our institute is also creating and disseminating
new knowledge in the various domains of engineering
disciplines. TCET also ensures a strong institute-industry
interface so as to understand the needs of the industry, and
thereby provides an apt platform for budding professionals
for entering the corporate world and contribute towards
the overall development of our country.
It is a proud moment for TCET to hold the first ever Degree
Certificate Distribution Ceremony on February 2, 2015
at our campus. The fruition of the hard work by students,
dedication by the faculty and the timely support by all other
stakeholders is witnessed on this day. On this momentous
day, I formally recognize and laud the accomplishments
of our new graduates and wish them all the success in
future!

A
t the outset let me convey my heartiest congratulations to
TCET Management, Principal and Faculty for embarking
on yet another initiative to boost the morale of their students.
I wish them success for the first convocation being organized
by TCET. I have been associated with this Institute for the last
5+ years and I have seen it progressing leaps and bounds which
is not only a matter of pride for all those associated with its
success but also for the generations who would pass-out from
this prestigious Institute.
Convocation is not a formality rather it’s an auspicious occasion
for those who are Passing-out today and also for those who
would watch them walking past the dias with Rolls of Honours
in their hands. While it will be a moment of achievement for
students, it would also be a moment of pride for those who
shaped them.

Principal’s Message
T
hakur College of Engineering and Technology (TCET) is
witnessing a culmination of a new milestone of holding
the first Degree Certificate Distribution Ceremony in our own
campus on February 2, 2015. We are immensely grateful to
the University of Mumbai for providing us with this momentous
opportunity.
TCET has grown from micro to macro level in the last fourteen
years and today proudly supports a conducive environment for
teaching learning process and acts as catalyst for providing
quality technical education. Our state-of-the-art infrastructure
and right academic ambience provides great opportunities for
developing professional skills as well as an environment for
growth of leadership and managerial skills to students which
will make them competent engineers of tomorrow who will
deliver quality results in industry in particular and society in
general.
In the last 14 years, TCET has always achieved this target
having a high success rate in terms of results, which are always higher than the University results. In the
academic year 2013-14, the college achieved 91% result and almost 80% students passed with first class and
distinction. We have also consistently increased our intake, added courses in B.E. and M.E., and have also received
permission to set up research centre which will award Ph.D. degrees in Electronics and Telecommunication
Engineering.
Degree Certificate Distribution Ceremony gives an opportunity and time to students for clinching their hard earned
degrees and is a day of utmost pride for both the students and the institute. In this Degree Certificate Distribution
Ceremony, around 490 students are being awarded B.E degrees in Computer, Information Technology, Electronics
and Telecommunication and Electronics Engineering and M.E. degrees in Computer, Information Technology and
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
I hope that our graduates will play a pivotal role in various public and private sector organizations and utilize all the
skills they have learnt in developing the state of technology and management in their respective organizations.
I earnestly hope that these graduates will also take up the challenge of making India a force to reckon with in
the world.
On a final note, I extend my warmest congratulations to all graduates on accomplishing this milestone in their life,
and pray that may the Almighty guide them in their future endeavors and may they always reach new heights!

Vote of Thanks
irst and foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Chairman, Trustees and CEO of
Thakur Educational Group for their constant encouragement and continued valuable support in organizing
the First Degree Certificate Distribution Ceremony for the Batch of 2013-14 graduates at our campus.
I thank the University of Mumbai for providing the opportunity to organize such an event.
I take this opportunity to thank all the distinguished guests who have taken time out of their busy schedule
and guiding the graduating students with inspiring words.
Organizing any event is a Herculean task which cannot be accomplished without the support of a strong and
motivated team of dedicated staff. I feel a deep sense of honor and privilege to express my gratitude to the
teaching, non-teaching and the support staff for their involvement and willingness to take on completion of
tasks beyond their comfort zones.
I am thankful to all the students and parents who have attended this ceremony and made it a grand
success.
Lastly, I am indebted to those who directly or indirectly encouraged and supported us to make our first
Degree Certificate Distribution Ceremony a memorable one.
