GOBI Integration of YBP Library Services and James Bennett

GOBI Integration of YBP Library Services and James Bennett Content
January 2015
YBP Library Services and Australian based bookseller James Bennett are pleased to now offer academic
libraries access to the most comprehensive selection of English language books, regardless of geographic
source, through YBP’s GOBI platform. This will allow libraries the ability to discover and order James
Bennett content through one single, GOBI-centered acquisition workflow for your US, UK, Australian and
New Zealand titles.
In concert with this integration, YBP has added nearly 80 Australian academic publishers to our approval
plan Publisher list. YBP now offers an outstanding selection of Australian and New Zealand academic
titles through existing YBP approval, notification and Demand Driven Acquisition plans. On the YBP
Library Services web site, each new imprint is described briefly, summarizing its subject focus, and links
to the publisher web sites are provided allowing customers the ability to review their offerings and
determine how well they match their collection criteria.
"The Integration continues our long-term strategic initiative to provide our customers with
comprehensive GOBI workflow support and the broadest possible access to leading scholarly content,"
said Mark Kendall, Senior Vice President of Sales and Operations at YBP. "Our partnership with James
Bennett offers our customers the valuable combination of outstanding Australian content and YBP's
value-added services."
