Cross Cheer is looking for high school to
graduate level coaches to coach at cheerleading camps in our area. The best candidates will have cheerleading experience
(an enthusiastic personality), and enjoy
working with young kids and are patient,

Cokesbury VBS Workshop

7th graders & up. Youth
choose their own Mentor who is a member of the church and meet with their
mentor for 8 weeks. In addition they will
also meet 2 weeks with Mark & Jonathan. Confirmation Sunday is April
19th. Please let Jonathan know the

Ski trip will be Feb 28! Meet at
the church at 8:30 a.m. and
return around 5:15 p.m.
We need chaperones for the
tubing group and for the lodge. Group
tickets are limited and Jonathan needs to
pre-order to get the discount rate so reserve your spot soon!! Ski board/lift tickets include tubing so you can do both if

190 guests were served! Our next opportunity to serve will be February 8 and
we are asking for donations of dessert
items. Cookies, brownies, cakes, or pies
usually work best. Desserts should be
at church by noon Sunday February 8.
Or even better, step out in faith and join
us in serving the meal at 3:00 in Covington at 5th and Greenup St.

The United Methodist Women national

Help Wanted
FUMC Maintenance Position
Keith Dixon has served as the church
maintenance person for several
years. Keith has made the decision to
step down from this role. The Staff Parish Relations (SPR) team on behalf of
the entire church wishes to thank Keith
for his service and the superior fashion
in which he takes care of the church
facility. We are in need to bring on a
new staff member to serve as church
maintenance person. This is a parttime, paid position. If you have handyman skills and would like to serve the
church while earning some extra money, this may be the perfect spot to plug

Super Bowl Bake Sale
On Feb 1, the Handbell Choir
will have a Super Bowl Snack
& Bake Sale after each service in the Gathering Place.
Donations of snack items (for example:
cheese balls, Chex Mix, etc. ) or baked
goods can be brought to the Gathering
Place on the morning of the sale. Proceeds go toward handbell supplies

Life Line Screening, will host their
affordable, non-invasive and painless
health screenings on Feb. 6th. Five
screenings will be offered. Register for

Wesleyan Women Feb 10
The Wesleyan Women will be meeting
on Tuesday, February 10th at 7:00pm
at the church. All the ladies of the
church are welcome and we would
love to have you come out and join us
with good fellowship, inspiring programs, and of course delicious desserts. Hope to see you there.

The Mountain Mission
truck will be here Feb 10. Have your
items in the Gathering Place Coat
Room by Feb. 9. Items needed: Children’s shoes , underwear & socks,
men’s clothing and shoes, pots/pans
and kitchenware, small appliances.
