Local 101 Receives New Equipment:
Local 101 has received the first of three new pieces of
equipment from the UA International Training Fund Grants.
The first piece is a hands-on Medical Gas Trainer to help in
the certification of Medical Gas installers. The other two
pieces of equipment, that are scheduled to arrive are a faucet
trainer and a freeze thaw trainer. These grants come from
the UA Dime Fund. To date Local 101 has received over
$308,000 in equipment and disbursement grants.

Please call to let us know your lay-off date. This includes members who
have been traveling.
When working a job that is out of Local 101’s jurisdiction, it is not only a
courtesy, but also necessary that you call the Business Manager of that
particular jurisdiction. Jurisdictional Maps & Local Contact Information are
available at our Hall.
A locked Drop-Box has been placed adjacent to the Administrative Office
Doors. Anyone needing to drop off union dues payments, confidential
paperwork, etc. after hours is encouraged to use the box as it is checked
every morning.

Leonard “Skip” Rathke passed
away January 6th at the age of
73. “Skip” was a retired
Pipefitter with 54 years of
dedicated service, who also
served many years as a Health
& Welfare Trustee. He will be
remembered as always leaving
you with his “Joke of the Day”.

Anyone interested in the following classes please contact Rich:

**OSHA 10 or 30 – day or evening classes
** Medical Gas— Evening classes


The Great Southwest will be holding a 30 hour OSHA class. This training will consist of 4 Saturdays, you
will be required to attend all classes to earn the card. If you are interested in the class please contact
Rich. If you do not have a OSHA 30 card it is suggested that you take the class. The classes will be:
- Saturday February 21st
- Saturday February 28th
- Saturday March 7th
