From the Station Manager’s Desk!
We hope you will join us on Friday Feb. 13 as we present our
Valentine’s Dinner/Dance at Drury Lane! Bruce Oscar welcomes
you on solo piano as you arrive; we enjoy a wonderful dinner, and
then dance to the John Burnett Orchestra with Frieda Lee. And
don’t forget the sumptuous dessert/coffee table! We offer a
substantial discount if you’re a current contributor to WDCB! For
tickets call (630) 942-4200. More details: WDCB.org
With many media outlets celebrating Black History Month in
February in various ways, WDCB is proud to present more than 125
hours of jazz EVERY WEEK! And we’re especially proud to present a
concert this month featuring the Grammy-winning vocalist Gregory
Porter. He keeps his gospel and R&B roots of jazz in the forefront
of his original, socially conscious lyrics, which are a hallmark of his
art. Make sure to catch him February 15th at the MAC.
Happy Listening!
