Racingpost: This could be the day that THE YANK finally gets off the
mark. He has shown signs that his turn may be near when runner-up on
his last three outings, looks well worth another go at this trip judged on
breeding and represents a stable that's won two of the last three
runnings of this contest. Delagoa Bay and Black Iceman both ran
respectably here last time out and should be thereabouts again, while
Newtown Cross is fairly treated if the blinkers work.[Steve Boow]
Racingpost: Fair Loch sets the standard on form but he doesn't seem
entirely straightforward and was a beaten favourite on the old surface
here once in 2013, which is his sole attempt on AW. He is taken on with
TAWEYLA who has performed creditably from the front in two AW
starts and represents last year's winning stable. Broughtons Berry
showed promise in a couple of maidens last month and may have
improvement in her.[Steve Boow]

Doppler Effect, 11/2 Al Muheer, 16/1 Silly Billy
Racingpost: DON'T BE (nap) has been progressing very well this
winter and is taken to complete the five-timer. She is climbing up the
weights but this race looks a bit less competitive than the ones she's
been winning and there is the prospect of even more improvement.
Fashion Line is closely weighted with the selection on Lingfield form 24
days ago and may prove the main threat.[Steve Boow]
Racingpost: YAIR HILL has been back in better form in claimers here
the last twice and may have more to offer on the surface at this sort of
level. Hardy Black looks interesting with his yard having a decent
strike-rate in sellers (including a win in this race last year) and the 3yo
Doppler Effect has possibilities in receipt of 17lb from his elders.[Steve
Boow]

Wedmarkt: 15/8 Solar Deity, 5/2 Chookie Royale, 7/2 Graphic, 13/2
Diescentric, 12/1 Emell, 12/1 Miracle Of Medinah
Racingpost: A decent staying handicap but one which could become
tactical with no habitual front-runners in the field. A steady pace could
play into the hands of John Reel who won a valuable 1m4f handicap
last time and may show the best finishing kick if this turns into a sprint.
This improving sort is greatly respected but the vote goes to URBAN
CASTLE, who has looked a progressive filly in four starts at this track
and could relish this new trip having stayed on strongly to win a 1m6f
contest two weeks ago. Recent C&D winner Very Good Day remains
well treated on past turf exploits and Entihaa was in good form here
when last seen in December.[Steve Boow]
Racingpost: Solar Deity should have every chance on these terms if
applying himself but he was turned over at 1-2 in a similar event here
last time and wouldn't be one to take a short price about. CHOOKIE
ROYALE was five from six on the old surface here, including an easy
success in this race last year, and could well enhance his good course
record if the switch to Tapeta doesn't prove a problem. Graphic ran well
in a stronger contest last time and warrants respect despite carrying an
8lb penalty.[Steve Boow]
