The conference is focused on inviting men who are, or have a desire to become leaders...teaching men to be obedient Christians, a God-led force to make disciples who will in turn make more disciples, thus fulfilling the Great Commission. Attention All Singers You are invited to join the choir as we begin to prepare for our Resurrection-Easter program. We will have our first rehearsal Sunday, February 8, at 5:00 pm in the sanctuary. We need sopranos, altos, tenors and bass voices. If you’ve not sung in the choir before we’d love to have you join us; if you’ve sung in the choir before we’re counting on you coming back. Youth Mission Trip The sign up deadline for the high school mission trip to Mission Arlington is February 8! For those students that have completed 8th grade, sign up and $50 deposit is due by then. Contact Adam or Erin with any questions. Prayer Ministry There will be an opportunity to have an elder or elder’s wife pray with you after the worship service. Praying for one another is one of our greatest privileges. This ministry is available every Sunday. Come to the front after the closing announcements. Geoff and Sherry Jordan are our prayer team members this week. Teen MOPS Teen MOPS meets every other Tuesday during the school year. One of the things we do is provide a Mommy Mart, where these young moms can shop for items for their babies with points they have earned. We stock this with various items every week, but are requesting donations of diapers, wipes, sippy cups. Monetary donations are also appreciated to help offset costs. Please bring your donated items to the crib in the foyer or the church office. Starting Point A new five week study called ‘Lessons on Assurance’ will begin February 15 during the community group hour at 11:00. If you haven’t made a connection with a small group yet, or you think you would benefit from this study you are welcome to join us. Carlon is the leader and we meet in the church office. Doctrine of the Church Study Doctrine of the church study this Wednesday, February 4, our topic will be “Who’s in Charge – Leadership in the Local Church”. This is an open study and you are always welcome to join the conversation.We meet at 6:35 pm in the reception room across from the church office. Prayer Guide: Seek God for the City 2015 The whole church is invited to go on a 40 day prayer journey from February 18 to March 29. That will take us right up to Palm Sunday, with Resurrection Sunday on April 5. We are asking God to make us a church with an increasing burden for the lost and opportunities to bring the gospel to our community. Cost for the guide is only $2; please buy as many as your family can use. These guides are available in the foyer.
