Stewardship Reflections
“Brothers and sisters: I should like you to be free of anxieties.” ~1 Corinthians 7:32
How much anxiety do we bring upon ourselves by constantly worrying about not having enough or attaining
more things? God won’t necessarily give you everything
you want, but He will provide everything you need. Try
this – use the word “pray” instead of the word “worry” in
the future.
Come and See
In response to Pope Francis’ announcement of this special year of
Consecrated Life, we, the Sisters of
St. Lucy Filippini cordially invite you
to join us at the Convent (60 Harrison
St., Nutley) for prayer, to learn about
our Consecrated Life, and enjoy
some light refreshments on Sunday,
February 8 at 2 p.m. Please RSVP no later than
Wednesday, February 4. Please call (732) 277-4594 if
you plan to join us.
Food Pantry
Many people only donate to food pantries at holiday
times, but we want to thank you, for being so consistent
all year round, with your generous giving. No matter what
time of the year it may be, you have never stopped sharing with those less fortunate. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Donations to our Food Pantry consist
of non-perishable foods: such as soups, sauces, pasta,
rice, cereals, dry milk, canned vegetables, as well as toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, etc.) Please
check expiration dates before donating food. If the food is
out of date, kindly discard.
Marriage Encounter Weekend
How about making some time to enrich your Marriage by
attending a Marriage Encounter. It’s a great time to rekindle communication and enjoy a weekend away. For more
information call Mike and Eileen Morgan at (973) 8279606 or email [email protected].

Stewardship
We have an obligation to share with others, that which
God has given us. Share your time, and talents. Men and
women can become involved in the life of our Parish by
becoming an Altar Server, Catechist, Choir Member,
Lector, and/or Usher. By taking an active role in the liturgical life, and service of the Parish, you can have a wonderful experience. Feel free to fill out the form on page 5
and drop it in the collection basket or call the rectory.

open mind and an open heart. Let us try to help you
through this time of grief.
Word of Life
“The challenge is to make the Church’s
“yes” to Life concrete and effective. The
struggle will be long, and it needs each
one of you. Place your intelligence,
your talents, your enthusiasm, your
compassion and your fortitude at the
service of life!”
