Churches working together in Warlingham Soup Aid lunch Wednesday 4th
February raising funds for CAFOD’s water aid. Lunch at 12 and everyone is
very warmly welcome.
You are invited to bring your palm crosses that were blessed last year, to
church so they can be burnt and provide the ashes we will use for Ash
Wednesday (18 February).
Masses will be at 10.00 am at St Ambrose and
7.30 pm at All Saints, Oxted.
This provides real continuity with the cycle
of death to sin, with the opportunity for renewal and growth during
Lent. Please leave your palms in the special baskets in the narthex.

LENT 2015
Churches Together in Oxted are once more

is “The Commandments”. The groups are a great
way to prepare for Easter and to meet fellow local
Christians. If you would like to participate, please sign

telephone 01883 730032.
Lent - Stations of the cross at All Saints,
Oxted with soup lunch afterwards.
What did Jesus do for me ?
What can I do for Jesus ?
Many things ,but here are a few examples , join a
Lent group, buy a Lent booklet ,(only £1) come to
stations of the cross - we have a different version
each Friday during Lent with a soup lunch
afterwards. (Even better, all three!)
Churches Together in Warlingham will be holding
small groups in Lent starting on 25 February on
Wednesday mornings at 11 am at All Saints,
Warlingham and Friday mornings based on the film
“Long Way to Heaven” a film about our pilgrimage
and based on a man’s journey to Santiago de
Compostella in Spain. There will also be an
opportunity to discuss this on Wednesday evenings
at 8.00 pm at St Ambrose Church. This is a great
way to deepen our faith in Lent. To start the
discussions, the film will be shown at St Christopher’s
church on Saturday 21 February at 7 pm. Even if you
don’t think you will be able to get to any or many of
the group discussions, do come along to the film.
We will arrange a 22 seater coach for those that want to go to CHRISM MASS at Arundel Cathedral on Wednesday 1st April, cost approx £18. If you would like to join us let me know on 01883 723204 or [email protected]
Everyone is also warmly invited to weekly silent
prayer on Saturday mornings between 10.00 am
and 10.30 am. Each week will be at a different
church in Warlingham, starting on 21 February at the
Methodist Church in Limpsfield Rd, 28 February at All
Saints, Warlingham and 7 March at St Ambrose, 14
March at St Christopher’s 21 March at St Mary’s and
28 March at St Leonard’s. Silence to allow space for
God is so rare in our lives; this will be a spiritual
treasure and a wonderful way to grow in unity. Do
come.
A Lent Group will be held on Mondays from 23
February at Louise Redferne’s at 2 pm - with
afternoon tea!. 01883 653418 or email
