FOR WHOM:
The FDP is primarily designed for faculty members interested to pursue doctoral work in management
Studies. The program will also be useful for teachers offering courses in research methods or marketing
research .The FDP will help participants to refine their work to a greater extent deliver a better quality
output by the end of the program. Candidates are advised to come prepared by identifying probable
research topics in the area of interest and reading relevant research literature to the extent possible.
Participants are expected to identify possible research domains & develop a preliminary research proposal
by the end of the program.
You Should Enroll for the FDP if . . .
 You are either a Post Graduate student already enrolled in a Ph.D. program
 You have been a working as faculty in University/ B-school.
 You are associated with research organizations or conducting / monitoring research at your
organization
OBJECTIVE
The objective of the FDP is to help participants get a head start in their doctoral research. The specific
Objectives are:
1. To understand the purpose, process and expected outcomes of doctoral research and develop a
research mindset.
2. To develop the flair for reading & critiquing research & articles.
3. To identify and evaluate possible research themes and help develop and continuously refine the
doctoral research proposal.
4. To get exposed to some of the research approaches and techniques used in doctoral research.
