Dear St. Ambrose Parish,
Twenty years ago this past fall, Sr. Mary Corbett approached Fr. Kelly about turning Sr. Miriam’s Relief Fund into
a St. Vincent de Paul Conference. He gave his consent and
the St. Ambrose Conference was born. In the last 20 years
with your generosity, our parish has given out more than a
million dollars in financial aid to those in crisis financially. We
have also given close to that in food, clothing and Christmas
gifts to those in our area. On this 20th anniversary, we here at
client services want to thank you for all that you have done to
make our conference such a success. The thousands of people who have been fed, clothed and sheltered would thank
you too, if they only knew your names. You have allowed us
to prevent people from living in their cars while keeping their
children in their schools, fed and clothed single mothers with
nothing for their children and allowed the elderly to have proper medical care at the end of their lives. These are a few of
the many people you have given hope and dignity to.
We, at the St. Ambrose Conference, congratulate you on
all the good you have done. The next 20 years will almost
certainly be just as challenging as the last. Again, thank you
for your continued support and may God bless you for all that
you have allowed us to do. If you know of anyone in need,

2014 Bishop’s Annual Appeal - Life-Changing Faith
(2014 Annual Appeal continues until the end of the fiscal year, June 2015)
Your gift to the Bishop’s Annual Appeal supports the Office for
Multi-Cultural Ministries which helps people of different ethnicities,
cultures and tongues to remain connected to their Catholic roots by
facilitating spiritual and pastoral care in a religious environment that
is familiar to them. It also fosters among all Catholics a spirit of
greater collaboration in living out the Catholic faith by promoting a
greater respect and understanding for each other’s ethnic, cultural

Retrouvaille consists of a weekend experience for

New Memorials Now Available
In a busy parish like ours, The Mass Book for 2015 has already
been filled. The 2016 Mass Book is now open! Many parishioners have come to the office looking for Masses for their loved
ones or friends who have passed. Like many other parishes, we
have decided to add additional memorials in addition to the
Bread and Wine and Sanctuary Lamp and Altar Candles. You
may now purchase flowers in memory of your loved ones.
Flower memorials will be as follows:
~ One large arrangement for the center of the Sanctuary, or two
for either side of the tabernacle for $100. Arrangements for the
Blessed Mother and St. Joseph is $50 each.
~ In addition, you may also purchase a “Rose for the Unborn” to
be placed at the tabernacle. The intention will read “Rose for the
Unborn” donated in memory of ~ by ~. Therefore this memorial
will have a dual intention. The cost is $10.
~ We are also in the process of getting Mass cards for the missions. These Masses will be said by missionaries and not here at
St. Ambrose. The stipend for those will be $5. Please call or stop
by the Parish Office if you have any questions or need further
information.
