Finalists Named For Osceola School District's "Teacher of the Year"
and "School-Related Employee of the Year"
The field of nominees for both the Osceola School District's top employee awards -"Teacher of the Year" and "School-Related Employee of the Year" -- has been narrowed
down to the top ten finalists in each category.
The following educators have been named as the top ten finalists for Osceola School
District's 2016 "Teacher of the Year" Award:
Celebration High -- Kelly Cotton, Social Studies Teacher
East Lake Elementary -- Jennifer Pearson, First Grade Gifted/English Language
Learner (ELL) Teacher
Harmony Community -- Esther Ruth Gilbert, Fourth Grade Teacher
Hickory Tree Elementary -- Ashlee Langley - Fifth Grade Teacher
Liberty High - Chrissy Brouwer, Science/Chemistry Teacher
Neptune Middle -- Kimberly Lytle, Ancient History Teacher
Partin Settlement Elementary -- Riccinni Banham, Guidance and Counseling
Poinciana Academy of Fine Arts -- Annmarie Morin, Dance Teacher

Judges selected the finalists based on their applications. Each finalist was surprised at
their work location by Deputy Superintendent Tom Phelps to announce their finalist
standing. The names of Osceola County's 2016 "Teacher of the Year" and Osceola
County's 2015 "School-Related Employee of the Year" will be announced at a ceremony
hosted by the Education Foundation - Osceola on March 19, 2015, at Osceola Heritage
Park.
