WACC Welcomes New Member
Nestled among the pines in central Wisconsin are 230 acres of pristine forest land, prairie
fields, wildlife, and a private lake brimming with fish. Camp Fairwood is located at W7905 S.
Pleasant Rd. Westfield, WI. They are a year-round ministry with six weeks of summer camp
for youth and families and about 32 retreats throughout the year. Camp Fairwood’s mission
is to provide an excellent Christian Camping experience in which campers may come to know
Christ as Savior and grow in Him through God’s Word and a godly staff. Check out their

This Week at the Coloma Hotel
Yoga with Annie continues at the Hotel! Join her for Chair Yoga on Mondays and Mat Yoga on
Fridays from 9 -1 0 am. Don’t forget that the Cody Clauson Trio will be playing in the Hotel
living room from 7-9pm this Wednesday, January 28th! They will also play at the Hotel
February 4th, 18th, and 25th. The Coloma Hotel will be offering a 6 week beginner Spanish
course for free; all you have to do is buy the $12 book! Marcia Johnson will be teaching this
course on Thursdays beginning February 5th from 7-9pm. Call sue at 715-228-2622 to register
before space fills up!
Basket Weaving Class at the Wautoma Senior Center
It’s too cold to play outside so come on in to the Wautoma Senior Center and have a great
time with the very talented and creative Mary Ann Nielsen! She will be holding a two day
basket weaving class for $50 at the Wautoma Senior Center on January 29th and 30th from
10am-3:30pm. The basket will be a small market basket. Space is limited so contact the
Senior Center office at 920-787-2055 to sign up!
Oakwood’s Opening Weekend
Oakwood opens back up on Friday, January 30th for the 2015 season. They will be open
Friday’s and Saturdays only. Their winter hours will be 3pm to close on Friday in the bar and
4:30pm to 9pm in the dining room and on Saturdays the bar will be open from noon to close
and the dining room will be open from 12-3pm and 4:30-9pm. Also, don’t forget they will
have Mason Street Band on Saturday, February 7th at 5:00pm after the Kusel Lake Fisheree!
Speakeasy Casino Night Fundraiser
The Berlin Area Health Foundation will be hosting a Speakeasy Casino Night Fundraiser this
Saturday, January 31st beginning at 6:00pm at the City Inn in Berlin. Tickets ($25 each) for the
event are now available. They will also be selling raffle tickets for $10 each (a maximum of
300 will be sold); Grand prize is a trip for 2 to Las Vegas which includes airfare and hotel;
second prize is a 1 carat diamond pendant! To reserve your tickets, call 920-361-6524!
Wautoma Public Library Winter Sowing & Seed Class
Did you know you can sow seeds in the winter? Creating tiny greenhouses out of milk jugs
and other recycled bottles, you can plant certain seeds that actually need the cold to sprout
in the spring. Join the Master Gardner’s and the Wautoma Public Library on Sat. Jan 31st at
1pm to learn more about this interesting subject, and also to learn how to successfully start
seeds indoors!
Super Saturday Enrollment for Health Care
Super Saturday is an enrollment day unique to Wisconsin. Each of the 11 Regional
Enrollment Networks across the state will be organizing events to help consumers enroll in
coverage through BadgerCare or HealthCare.gov. Certified Application Counselors and
health insurance agents will be on site to help consumers enroll in health insurance. Bring
your social security number, paystubs and anything else the REN may need to help you apply
for coverage to the Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital on Saturday, January 31st from
10am- 2pm.
ThedaCare Community Conversation
Healthcare is changing, and changing dramatically. CHN/ThedaCare are at the forefront of
this transformation and the healthcare trends affecting you, your family, your workplace,
and your wallet. Community Conversation 2015 on Monday, February 2nd, shed light on
these trends. They will illuminate the future of healthcare and help you make sense of it. Tell
them how the trends affect you and what you need from CHN/ThedaCare at the City Inn in

CoreQuest Yoga and Spa Presents SNOGA!
CoreQuest Yoga & Spa will be hosting their famous SNOGA on Saturday, February 7th! It’s a
rhythmic, snowshoeing, yoga experience in the beautiful Northwoods from 9am-3pm. Your
day of adventure includes: a warm up with yoga tune up® flow for the trails with Cathy,
snowshoeing the forest paths and little hills lake, a nourishing, delicious chili feast with all
the fixings in the rustic lodge, interactive rhythm and drums experience with Bill Kehl, the
infamous turtle cheesecake indulgence break, and finally a good stretch, rest and restore

Trinity Lutheran Church 1st Annual Elders Chili Dump
Trinity Lutheran Church will be hosting their 1st Annual Elders Chili Dump from 4:30-6:30pm
on Saturday, February 7th. This meal will include a bottomless bowl of chili with all the fixings,
dessert, beverages, with fun and fellowship added in! They will be taking a free will offering
and nonperishable food items which will be donated to the Waushara County Food Pantry.
Help support this great cause! The Church is located at 121 W Elm Street in Wautoma. If

Food For Thought: A Community Presentation
The Wisconsin Friends of John Muir is pleased to sponsor, “Food For Thought,” a community
presentation that will be held on Saturday, February 7th from 10am-12pm at 480
Underwood Avenue in Montello, WI (Marquette County UW Extension County Services
Center). This presentation will provide information, resources and an opportunity to meet
local farmers, chefs, entrepreneurs and business people interested in supporting the idea of
a vibrant local alternative food system in Marquette, Waushara, and Green Lake counties.
Ruby’s Pantry at Crossroads Family Church
Crossroads Family Church will have Ruby’s Pantry at the church from 8am-10am on Saturday,
February 7th. Anyone in need of food will receive an abundance of groceries for $20. Please
bring boxes or laundry baskets to carry food and volunteers are always needed! Any

McComb/Bruchs PAC Presents: The Diamonds
The McComb/Bruchs Performing Arts Center presents The Diamonds at 7:00pm on Saturday,
February 7th. In 1957 The Diamonds released their instant Million selling hit “Little Darlin”
which has been dubbed “The National Anthem of Rock & Roll.” Touring worldwide to soldout venues, this show group brings you the songs you love, remember, and can actually sing
the words to-classic Rock & Roll with today’s attitude! This would make a great Valentine’s

Wautoma Rotary Annual Radio Auction
The Wautoma Rotary will again be holding their annual radio auction this spring. They are
now accepting items to be auctioned off to the highest bidder on Saturday, March 21, 2015.
This is a great opportunity to advertise your business and/or perhaps reach that new
customer for future business. This year marks their 30th consecutive year and it will once
again be broadcast live by our friends at WISS Radio AM 1100 (Berlin). Funds raised from
their annual auction (and our other fundraisers) stays in Waushara County by supporting
numerous local projects. Their mission is to serve youth and community by donating time
and funds where needed. All donations will be listed in a full page display in both the
Waushara Argus and The Resorter a week prior to the auction. Please consider donating to
this year’s auction. Should you wish to donate but are not contacted by a Rotarian, please

Winter Recreation at Camp LuWiSoMo
Join Camp LuWiSoMo for their Winter Recreation Activities! Every Saturday and Sunday from
9am to 4pm, you can enjoy fun winter sports like Ice Skating, Snowshoeing, Tubing, and
Cross Country Skiing at Camp LuWiSoMo. Winter activities are open dependent on the

February Business After Five at Little Sprouts
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, February 17th at Little Sprouts Discovery Center. The center
is located at 406 Preston Lane in Redgranite and it will begin at 5:30 pm for February’s BA5.
Come and see their facility, meet the faculty, and enjoy a soup and salad dinner. Take this
opportunity to network with your Chamber business friends. This is also a great way to bring
a business guest who isn’t currently a member but may be thinking about joining the
Waushara Area Chamber of Commerce. Thank you to the Little Sprouts for hosting this BA5.
Save the date on your calendar
 Sundays in February, Pastor Dan continues his insightful look at the book of Revelation
and how it relates to today’s world. This will be an 8-part series, which will examine
The Martyrs, The 144,000, The Two Witnesses, The Dragon, The Beast From the Sea,
The Beast from the Earth, The Anti-Christ, and the coming Apocalypse. These events
are certain to come. We believe you’ll have a much clearer understanding of the
events of Revelation as they unfold. Service times are: Sunday mornings at 10am at
Crossroads!
 Tuesday, February 10th, Fox Valley Technical College in Wautoma will offer two CPR
certification classes at the Wild Rose Hospital from 5:00pm-10:00pm. These classes
teach and evaluate two-rescuer CPR, one-rescuer CPR, and obstructed airway
technique for the adult/child/infant, adult/child Automated External Defibrillator,
pocket mask and Bag Valve mask. Students will receive an American Heart Association
Healthcare CPR card with a two-year certification. For more information you can call

 Wednesday, February 11th, Coloma Hotel will host the Original Voice: Guy Kaplan
Guest Poet in the Hotel Living Room.
 Saturday, February 14th, Waushara County Ice Age Trail Sweetheart Candle Lit Hike
from 4-9pm at Flyte’s Fieldstones. Snow shoe enthusiasts, cross county skiers and
walkers will enjoy the hike. Evening sleigh rides and ice skating will keep everyone in
the mood for snow, accompanied by live entertainment featuring The Clausons.
Fieldstones will offer warm beverages and good food for sale at an honest family
bargain. Bring your sleds, bundle up the children, and mark your calendar. This is a
Flyte Family Farm Favorite!
 Saturday, February 14th, Waushara County Public Health, Waushara Prevention
Council, and the Wautoma Area School District will host Fitness Flurry from 9am-12pm
at the Wautoma High School! This event will feature tons of 30 minute workout
sessions. You are sure to find something for any age! There will also be fun and
educational health resources & exhibits, PLUS some awesome door prizes!
Registration begins at 8:30am.
 Saturday, February 14th, Coloma Lion’s Fisheree from 7am-4pm on Pleasant Lake. They
will have snowmobile radar runs, a heated ten with food, drinks, raffles, and fishing
prizes. Food starts at 9am.
 Sunday, February 15th, Emmaus Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi will be holding their
Stewardship Sunday with a pot luck meal following the service.
 Saturday, February 21st, CAP Services will be holding their Winter Flurry to benefit the
Family Resource Center. This event will begin at 5:00pm at the Waushara Country Club
with dinner catered by Moose Inn. Tickets are $35 per person or you can buy a table
of 6 for $170 and a table of 8 for $230.00. They will have entertainment featuring local
youth, live auction items, silent auction packages, and raffles! Reservations must be
made by February 13th so call 920-787-3949!
 February 27th – March 1st, Women of all ages will enjoy a weekend dedicated to
crafting at Camp LuWiSoMo. Participants may choose between creating cards and gifts
using stamping, preserving memories through scrapbooking, or spending time
knitting, crocheting, or quilting. When you arrive, you will be give table space to call
your own for the weekend. To sign up for this retreat, call Camp LuWiSoMo at 920622-3350.
