Baptism: This important sign of initiation is celebrated in the community at
any one of the weekend Masses. Parents must complete the preparation
program (offered every other month). Please contact the church
office at least two months prior to your anticipated date for Baptism.
Marriage: This sacrament provides an opportunity for a couple to stand as a
sign of God’s love in the community. To this end, a period of preparation is
important and necessary.
Contact the church office
at least six months prior to
your proposed marriage
date to begin this process.
Anointing of the Sick: If

Mission Statement
With the Blessed Virgin Mary, the first disciple of Jesus Christ, as our example and patron, the mission of Queen of the Apostles Catholic
Church is to live and proclaim the Gospel entrusted to us.
We strive in our rich diversity to be a community of welcome and hospitality: one with the Risen Christ, each other, and the whole Church.
Through the Word of God and the life of the Sacraments, especially the Eucharist, we are empowered to engage in a variety of ministries
of service to the parish family and the communities where we live.

From the Pastor’s Desk...
I'm pretty certain that your generous participation in our Winter
Coat Collection has yielded close to 500 pieces of clothing to
share with needy folks in our area. Thank you so much for your
generosity! Once more you show to me (and to many others) that
the Gospel has sunk deep down in your hearts and produces
much fruit. God bless you!
With this new year, there are new faces in the ministry of the parish
community. Mrs. Jeanne LaFrancis comes on staff to work as our
Pastoral Associate for Sick and Homebound Members. She will
be assuming many of the duties that were Sister Bernadette's
responsibility. She has "hit the ground running" and is catching up with
visits to our homebound members. At the same time, she is planning to
meet with our homebound ministers and has also touched base with
those in the parish who send get well and holiday cards to our sick and
homebound. We will introduce her at the weekend Masses soon and
invite you to pray a blessing over her pastoral work. We are happy to
have her with us here in the parish. Welcome her when you bump into
her. I know she would appreciate your prayers as she acclimates to
this new position and pace in her life. You will note her contact
information (email and office phone) are listed with the pastoral staff
on the front of the bulletin.
Next weekend, January 31 - February 1, we have the opportunity to
participate in a second collection for the Circus and Traveling Show
Ministry. Since Ringling Brothers will be in town, Sister Dorothy (and
Sister Mary, new to the ministry) will be with us. Once more I have
invited her to speak to the congregation and I hope you will assist the
work of this ministry as you are able. Let me thank you in advance!

gobierna mis ojos, gobierna mis sentidos, gobierna mi voluntad; Señor, he querido
